  1. I have searched the net but haven't found many pics of Futurama ships. i have found some stuff on the Planet Express ship but im looking for the cool ships in the background, and action scenes ETC. can anyone help? Semper Fi, Ben
  2. I have NACES seats from Cutting Edge/Teknics, Cam, and Black Box. No two are alike in fact they look completely different from the others. i know CE/T is the most accurate. But now that they are gone who is making new seats?? the others look so "off" they are destined for WHIFs. Semper Fi, Ben
  3. That one stayed at our local airport over the winter, shes a beaut. Semper Fi, Ben
  4. Welcome aboard!! that silver V-22 has been generating a ton of questions, thanks for some answers! Semper Fi, Marine Ben
  5. Brian, those are hands down the strangest looking Tomcats i have ever seen... Semper Fi, Ben
  6. i saw a pic of a fresh new C-130J and it looked like it had about 4 tones of gray. 4 tones of metallics would really be something! I saw the V-22 in Iraq program and it was in standard greys, so is that silver scheme experimental, new, or what?
  7. Its going to be tough to top that Sebastijan!! looks great. Im using the old Testors kit and im going to add as much detail as i can but i do not have the money to do much After Market stuff or anything. Taking a good look at the kit before starting a few assemblies, i realized im going to need to rescribe it. will be first for me on an entire kit. im going to get frustrated but, elbow grease is free so im going to just keep on keepin on. Hope to paint and take pics for the GB thread tomorrow. Semper Fi, Ben
  8. im in with a Testors RF-4, im determined to do it OOB other than decals but of course thats where it starts... Semper Fi, Ben
  9. Digital. it would take forever but wow it would be something. the three tone green, black, and grey scheme could look good though. looked good on OV-10s. just a thought. ADM. Gillcrist started his navy career in 1947- wooden decks and props and left in 1980 in Tomcats and on nuclear carriers. i trust his knowledge. its cool to see him advocate something clever that rarely gets considered, or even thought of at all. and Trigger, Thanks for the correction on the Flanker price. Semper Fi, Ben
  10. Title amended- didn't think that word made such a difference -apologies The only gripe with the Spacecraft=to real aircraft (and i do not want to start any kind of huge debate with this) Tie int to me seems more like a foxbat fast beyond all reason. other than that great list! A Nebulan B Frigate- great response! The reason i started this was to see the variety of choices and there has been no disappointment, other than the fact that i didnt include more picks on my list! Semper Fi, Ben
  11. thats perfect, i wanted to use the recce phantom in my stash, thank you!
  12. 8 million for a flanker...good god thats cheap!! how much does a super hornet cost...? i know it won't matter though its near impossible
  13. I want to enter the Phantom Group build, but was already told WHIFs are unacceptable (which is fine of course) Has the IRIAF painted any of its phantoms in the new blue and grey camo?? i would like to do one that way but don't want to make a WHIF on accident! As always thanks for help Phantom Phans Semper fi, Ben
  14. Love digital Camo, maybe it's a Marine thing. That F-16 is wicked looking can't wait to see that finished Semper Fi, Ben
  15. Thanks gents!! always wondered thanks for the answer.
  16. I need to make clear Vietnam is well before my time, but pilot doors are removed by taking off a couple pins takes 30 seconds. they are also very easy to break., which could be another reason they get removed or you see pics without them. im not sure how long it takes to remove the large cabin doors (dont think it takes too long though) but they can get really ugly going over 90 knots or so (they can fly off) one of the reasons you see lots of huey without them. at my job (this is civilian world mind you) we keep them closed for the most part when we do open them we make sure to rig them with
  17. Wing glove is probably the best guess like reddog said. i have seen it on some whifs like that. Just brings up a question i have always had - in this era of "jointness" and thrifty spending why doesnt the Air Force use the hose and basket combo that the USMC, USN, and all of Europe use?
  18. well done gunfighter Jburch!!
  19. Thanks Reddog, i assumed it would be something quick like that few bolts and brackets, but then in aviation the simplest things can get crazy-- friend of mine works on blackhawks and you have to remove the engines to check something simple (cant remember what right now) , harriers you have to remove the wings to get the engine out ETC...
  20. Brian, i was always curious how long did it take to remove that little door?
  21. Tu-128 or Foxhound would be great! dream big Semper Fi, Ben
  22. 5).Y-Wing Fighter-to me,these are the A6 Intruders of Star Wars 6).X-Wing Fighter-if the Y-Wingers are Intruders, then the X-Wing must be a Phantom, right? is the A-wing a Tomcat?? I also need to add the Tie Interceptor to my list along with the Tie Defender Semper Fi, Ben
  23. Thanks Gustav looking forward to this D conversion! F-14A Iranian Alicat Update set (Gasvent backdate, Refueling Probe, AIM-9J, MIM-23 Hawk Missile(!)) --That is a cool idea!! etc.
