  1. Great stuff Kursad! Glad to hear you are planning them in both 1/48 and 1/72 scales! The final product will surely looks terrific Greetings Diego
  2. Hi Corey, Just FYI,decals for Turkish AF F-4E 68-0346 with the tiger head has been released last year ( HD 48028 & HD 72058 F-4E/F-4ETM/RF-4ETM ) , and the NJ ANG "Tigers" will be the very next release, including a.o. 68-0346, combined with some EAF Phantoms (HD 48033 & HD 72063)- the artwork data are practically complete, including crew names etc. Greetings Diego
  3. The Soviet AF MiG-15UTI were normally painted in aluminium, with red stars and red, blue or yellow bort numbers. Few UTIs were camouflaged during their last service years. Such a camo (red 54) is very good represented on the 1/72 Hobbyboss kit. You can google a bit to find images of the box and the color scheme. You will only need a "rounded" red, white outlined code 54 and red stars. Greetings Diego
  4. Hi Jon, Unfortunately, "white 15" is a warbird with a spurious Soviet scheme, the aircraft being a former Polish AF bird. Greetings Diego
  5. Hi Dave, As you said, Hi-Decal made markings for 704th TFS F-4D 66-8802 in 1/72nd (HD 72055) and 1/48th (HD 48025) scales. Techmod released the same sheet under licence in 1/32nd scale (TM32033) The colors were FS 26270 & FS 26118. Greetings Diego
  6. Of course, I will post it a.s.a.p. Greetings Diego
  7. Definitively yes! Sorry for the delays, but, unfortunately, this year, a longer illness as well as professional commitements made things a bit complicated. Also the amount of research needed to correctly recreate some of the more esoteric and older subjects takes in the majority of cases much more time than planned. Anyway, here are few ongoing editorial plans, all in 1/48 & 1/72 scales : HD48034 & HD72064: F-86F-25/30(F-40) Sabre: Iran, Ethiopia, Philippines HD48033 & HD72063: F-4E Phantom II: Egypt & NJ ANG HD48031 & HD72061: F-4E(AUP)/RF-4C Phantom II: Greece, T
  8. Well, the EAF/NJ F-4E was delayed, as we needed to complete some missing but important details. As we recently finally got them ( a.o. the full crew names for the NJ birds ) we will be abe to proceed with this project. I hope that this sheet will be released in November/December. Now we are finalizing our F-86F Sabre sheet (covering camouflaged Iranian, Ethiopian and Philippine F-86F as well as a colorful NMF Iranian/UN Sabre)- this one going to the printers in around 10 days. Greetings Diego
  9. Well, Some sources indeed say that the red star with the yellow "Zoyombo" were used after 1994...(i.e. after the break up of the USSR - when most "eastern" air forces deleted the red star markings :(/>/>/> ) Other sources say this: "History Mongolia obtained its first military aircraft in 1925, supplied by the Soviet Union. They probably carried normal Soviet insignia. By the mid-1930s Mongolian aircraft were carrying a traditional Buddhist ideogram called the 'zoyombo'. This comprised many elements including bravery, friendship, and the symbolism of the yin and yang. The zoyo

  11. Hi Tony, Indeed, you will need to rework the Sabre 6 wing by adding the extra 12" - but IMHO this is simpler than building the open slats from scratch. This is the same story with the Revell/Has "Sabre 6" boxing - they tell you to cut off the F-40 wing and add the shorter wingtips... And thank you for remembering the Hasegawa 1/72 kit Fortunately Fujimi released their JASDF Sabres recently... Greetings Diego
  12. Hi Janne, In 1/48 scale, the simplest option is to get any Hasegawa F-86F-40 JASDF boxing (a Blue Impulse' F-86F-40 will be released in July), or, alternatively, the Revell (Hasegawa) Sabre Mk.6/F-40 kit. As Jennings said, the Revell F-86D kit would be an unexpensive donor in case you would like to represent the slats in the open position. In 1/72 scale, the best option would be the Fujimi F-86F-40 JASDF boxing, or the Hobbyboss F-86F-40 "Luftwaffe" easy assembly kit. The 1/72 Hobbycraft Sabre Mk.6 or the Academy packaged F-86E "El Diablo" is the only kit to offer the wings with open slat
  13. Hi Don, Here you have another double MiG killer in Hill two scheme: http://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com/Rev3/2301-2400/rev2397-Hi-Decal48027/00.shtm ( available in 1/72nd scale as 72057 ) see also hi-decal's website Greetings Diego

  15. Dear ARCers, The legendary F-86 Sabre,is well konwn in its livery typical for the 1950s, the natural metal finish (NMF) The Sabres used in many european countires flew in the then standard NATO camouflage, mid grey & dark green with PRU blue undersurfaces. A fact unknown to most Sabre enthousiasts is that the legendary North American fighter also wore the Asia Minor desert scheme (with sand, brown and dark green uppersurfaces) th eSouth East Asia scheme developped during the USAF involvement in the Vietnam War, as well as some even more exotic camouflages. Based on recently surfaced, p
  16. Dear ARC'ers, After the retirement of the Bundesluftwaffe F-4Fs, the legendary Phantom remains in service with the air forces of only six countries: Greece, Iran, Japan, South Korea, Turkey and Egypt. Egypt was also one of 12 foreign users of the legendary Phantom II. The Egyptian Air Force received the first of 35 F-4Es in 1979 and, 35 years later, they still remain in service. First used as interceptors, the Phantoms later switched to the fighter-bomber role, armed with iron bombs and Maverick AGMs, after the arrival of the F-16s. Strangely, markings for these colorful and interesting pl
  17. Hi Thomas, Decals for Europe One camouflaged F-4Ds, but also for the Cloud Grey, Flipper and Asia Minor schemes, are already available from Hi-Decal: http://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com/Rev3/2301-2400/rev2396-Hi-Decal48025/00.shtm Greetings Diego http://www.hi-decal.eu
  18. There is also Robin Olds "last" F-4D, 66-0271 he flew during his visit to the Kansas ANG 127th TFS at McConnell AFB, in 1986. This bird, also a double MiG killer from Vietnam (2 x Bailey/Feinstein), was named SCAT and received special markings for this event: 1/48th scale decal sheet HD48025 66-0271 with Brig.Gen."Ace" Olds markings Also included on this sheet are markings for the MiG killing 65-0801 (Ritchie/Petit) in Texas ANG' 111th FIS service. Greetings Diego Hi-Decal
  19. Luis, 3-6022/Ser.N°160320 was (unfortunately IMHO) the only IRIAF F-14A painted in this scheme - with low viz (i.e blue and sand) codes, serial and "IRIAF" inscriptions. The HI-DECAL sheet HD48021 includes these markings for 3-6022. Greetings Diego
  20. Sweeet! I suppose it will be "3-6022" in the sand and blue experimental camo - right? It was a pity that this camo was not adopted as standard by the IRIAF Muy cordialmente Diego
  21. Indeed, Hasegawa and Fujimi released their F-4Es with NJ markings, but only including the early "outline only" tigerhead markings. It'r really strange that decal for a/c wearing the "full color" and "black & grey" tigerheads (on Europe I and Hill II respectively) weren't available till now, but this will change very soon Greetings Diego Visit us on: http://www.hi-decal.eu
  22. A small update today: As the two seat Mirage F.1B will be covered soon by Xtradecals, we are now concentrating on the single seat versions of this French beauty. Since we have made the first announcement concerning this sheet,we have been able to complete the data conc. IRIAF birds. Our sheet will therefore offer a wide panorama of Iranian schemes, from the very first flight in Iran till today, as the Mirage fleet is now operational again. The decals will be of course released in both 1/72 and 1/48 scales. Greetings Diego Visit us on http://www.hi-decal.eu
  23. Dear ARCers, With the recent retirement of the Bundesluftwaffe F-4Fs, the air forces of only five countries - Greece, Iran, Japan, Turkey and South Korea - still fly the legendary Phantom. Another F-4E user was Egypt. The Egyptian Air Force received the first of 35 Phantom IIs in 1979 and used them till the mid 2000s, i.e. during more than 25 years! Strangely enough, decals for these interesting and colorful birds have never been released till now. Now, for the very first time, the EAF Phantoms IIs will be covered on our upcoming sets HD48033 (in 1/48th scale) and HD72063 (in 1/72nd scale).
