  1. Here are a couple models I finished this week. That makes 5 models finished in under 2 weeks. Before you think that sounds prolific, these models have been under construction for several months, they just all finished up at about the same time. I just want to add that I certainly appreciate all the comments you guys dole out on here, Thanks. The first one is the 1/72 Academy F4F-4 Wildcat. It was built pretty much OOB and hand-painted. I added some TD resin wheels/tires and some Starfighter VF41 USS Ranger decals. I also added some tubing in the wings for the machine guns. And yes, I k
  2. Very nice Spark 'Vark. You will be fine here posting models like that. Keep up the good work.
  3. Nice looking Jug. I have that same kit, and have obtained some resin bits for it. Its on my to do list. The Corsair is a bittersweet thing for me, as it is my favorite plane. You did a great job of burying her.
  4. Thanks guys. I have been doing braille scale for years. I have a house full of kids, and display space is like a fight sometimes. As for the eyesight thing...I use very heavy bifocals. My vision has been declining over the last 10 years. It is almost getting to the point where I may have to start thinking about 1/48.
  5. Very nice looking Rafale. Great paint job. A-1 in my book.
  6. Here are some pics of my newest builds. The first one is a 1/72 scale Heller AV-8B Harrier. The ejection seat was scratch-built. Not the best Harrier kit out there, but fun to build none-the-less. The camouflage job was hand-painted, and then flat coated. Next up is the venerable and classic 1/72 Monogram P-6E Hawk. This is probably the 4th or 5th time I have built this through my modeling career. Kit was built OOB and hand-painted and then decorated with the kit decals. And finally, it is the 1/72 Airfix Spitfire Mk.IX. The kit was built mostly OOB with Mk.VII decals subs
  7. I'm looking for a vac canopy, or a decent canopy for a 1/72 AV-8A/B Harrier kit. The Heller kit canopy and windshield are almost a 1/4 inch too wide. I tried heating and bending, but it is just too wide. I do not want the Heller canopy, it's gonna have to be something else. LMK, Thanks.
  8. I am looking for some decals for a 1/72 A-7D Corsair II. The paint scheme I have is the two-tone green and tan wraparound. IIRC, this scheme was used by the ANG. Thanks.
  9. Man Oh Man...That is quite the Draken Family you got there...And your newest certainly is a beauty...a RED beauty.
  10. Below are some pics of my recently completed 1/6 scale Williams Brothers MG 14 Parabellum. The stand is made from bent coat hanger, and the placard was made on Microsoft Excel. Enjoy the pics.
  11. Please read the full text before flaming me for building a Snap-Tite. This is my build of the Snap-Tite Monogram Huey. Pretty inaccurate kit, but with a little TLC it turned out nice, I think. It was a Huey kit I had laying around, and my kids thought it would be cool to build it and make a shelf-sitter out of her. It doesn't really totally represent an actual bird, it's kind of a conglomeration of what I thought would look cool. I made the pitot tube, aft roof antenna, and the rear grab handles with a little wire. I added window frames and separated the door window with painted masking
  12. Posted below are some pics of my Airfix Stuka. This is not the best Stuka kit out there, but it sure was fun to build. I used the decals that came with the kit. The model was completely hand-painted, as are most of my 1/72 stuff. I did not build this kit OOB. I added a bunch of scratch-built cockpit details. I also added some tubing for the guns in the wings. I also cut out the molded-in landing light, added a light lens and then made the outer lens from sheet clear. The antenna wire is monofilament painted aluminum with CA insulators. Enjoy the pics.
  13. I would have to agree with you guys...Joseph is one of the "good guys"...Thanks Joseph.
  14. I was just thinking that the front-seater had to get out and take a pee really bad. It even looks like he dropped some gear getting to his fly...
  15. I have a little kit that Im working on for my kids and my decal sheet kinda got wet. Im just looking for some spares, as it is not a very good kit, just a cheesy little shelf-sitter. Im also working with the unemployed model dad budget. If so, please let me know. Thanks.
