Revell 1/32nd scale F-14A Tomcat triple build

You could make a very thin wash...that´d even dampen the "deep" feeling of the panel lines, or you could use a hard 0.3 pencil, but that´d need a flat coat to remove the metal shine of the graphite. I´d go for a thin wash and use a heavier wash for streaks, dirt and leaks. Cheers! -
Thanx Paul! Hehehe..we alla have different speeds, and you might even have a life outside work and modelling :) nah but seriously, I usually spend maybe 35-40 hours on a OOB build around 70-80 hours on a kit with some extra resin and beasts like this I can spend upward of 150 hours....but I rarely do these mamoth builds with loads of extra and scratching. This is my fourth mamoth...the previous where 2 JA-37 (they took like forever) the F-15 I Ra´am (with the silvered decals) and now this Viggie (we´ll see what I mess up on this). I build maybe 10-15 models a year depending on mood, time

Looking very crisp and clean! Good work! :(

Great looking Jag! :(

Excellent paintjob, finish and decaling!! :( Just too bad with the seam between the fuselage halves and the windshield......just a little more sanding and polishing would have done the trick. But it still looks good!

Thanx all of you! It wasn´t really that much surgery....once I knew how the profile would look like. And as I said...I won´t go anal on this, it´s enough if it looks alright. I think the overall impression of the kit might soften any minor inperfections! It´ll look like a Viggie when it´s done at least :P But seriously....I wanna be done with this soon! I´m not that used to spend this much time on one build.....sheesh, I could have built 3 Hunters in the time I´ve spent on the Viggie. No Wonder I don´t do this ambitious projects often... Cheers my friends!

Looking good, a really interesting WIF project!

Gorgeous builds man!! Something tells me you really like Tomcats...... The revell one doesn´t look to shabby compared to a tamyia......you don´t have to rescribe any panel lines right? Cheers! -
Very nice looking so far In my experience classic aiframes and special hobby kits have a more aproximative view of fit....but one usually overcome such small obsticles
