  1. Hello Everyone, I purchased a Testors/Fujimi 1/72 scale HH-53C Super Jolly (kit 366) but it does not have instructions (or decals). A request that if someone has access to the instructions for this kit that I could get a scanned copy, thank you! If you happen to have the decals for the kit, I'd gladly purchase those. Thank you! John I'm not sure if I'm posting in the correct forum - if not, please let me know and I'll remove my post. it's this boxing:
  2. Hi Shawn "phantom" Weiler! Love the F-104 in the NASA scheme. I want to do a TF-104 in that same type of scheme, and was wondering what brand/shade of blue you used for the underside? It really looks great! Could you email me at jwhangen at yahoo dot com and let me know? Thank you!
  3. That looks great! Claudio, would you have any interest in selling the leftover decals from that Albatros Dragonfly decal sheet to me? I've been looking for the sheet for ages and it's hard to find. I'll be happy to take whatever is left over from your great build! Let me know if you're interested, thank you! John
  4. I know this is a long shot, but looking for the Albatros Decals 1/72 "Ferocious Bugs" (ALC-007) set for the A-37 Dragonfly. I only need the USAF Vietnam-era "EK" markings and stencils, so I'd certainly buy a partial sheet if someone wants to sell it. Thanks! Jay jwhangen at yahoo dot com
  5. Hello, I have an opportunity to purchase some AML 1/72 kits of the P-40, but I'm confused if I should be getting the B or C version. Which version of the P-40 did the AVG use, and which AML kit is the more appropriate one to get? Thank you!
  6. There's two FSM articles on the AP-2H conversions Feb 1987 <----the one you're talking about Sept-Oct 1985 email me for a PDF copy
  7. Last night I did some research on FOD barrels (ok, I must have advanced modeler syndrome....I'm now researching trash cans ). In the Super Base Series book on Cherry Point MCAS, there's a photo of an EA-6B in a hanger, and in the background there's a FOD can. It's a 55 gallon drum, painted yellow, with FOD stenciled in big black letters on the side.
  8. sure, thank you! What vintage is your FOD can?
  9. Thank you - were they painted a particular color as a requirement, or were they left whatever color they happened to be? A fellow on Hyperscale mentioned that the USMC painted them yellow, but I was wondering if that was the exception or some sort of regulation. Thanks!
  10. I'm doing an OV-10A Bronco diorama (VMO-2 circa 1975) and would like to somehow incorporate a FOD disposal barrel into the scene. I know it's not the most exciting thing in the world, but does anyone happen to have a photograph that might show a FOD barrel in the background? Preferably one that's at an MCAS in the 1970s, but a FOD barrel in general would be fine. Just curious how these things look in real life.
  11. I have my eye on the Wolfpack 1/72 A-7E Folding Wing resin set (http://www.wolfpack-d.com/catalog/htm/72007.html), but I want to mate it with the FUJIMI kit, not the Hobbyboss one - anyone done something like this? I'm also wondering about the quality of the Wolfpack set - how does it look? Nice detail?
  12. Hello, A bit confused about the GRU-7 ejection seats used on the A-6/KA-6 Intruder aircraft. Is the GRU-7EA an appropriate seat for these aircraft, or is the -7EA seat only for the EA-6 Prowler? Finally, is the Super Bug Models 1/72 GRU-7EA worth the cost as a replacement for the Fujimi KA-6D seats included in the kit? Thanks in advance! John
  13. Thanks to everyone for helping out! I'm now feeling confident about doing this project.
  14. Thank you for that photo! I keep looking at the gun installation - that's the longer version of the gun, right? I'm losing it in the shadows of the photo.
