The Millennium Falcon itself is subtly shifting size on-screen so not even the source material itself knows how genuinely big it is, so the quotes seem appropriate ð

Take it from someone who up until now has hand-painted models exclusively - get an airbrush! Especially if you want that fresh "from the factory" look. And you'll want to test on something else first - could be as simple as a sheet of scratch paper. BTW those are some amazing skills you've got in that resto!

Thanks everyone! I was tempted to order online but I ended up just going to the local hobby store (HobbyTown USA) and picked up what they had - an Airfix 1/72 Spitfire, a Revell 1/48 P-40 and P-51 and the infamous 1/48 P-61 (the last two are particularly for nostalgia) along with the Revell 1/144 Saturn V (can't wait to see how it compares to the LEGO version!) They did indeed have a wide selection of Tamiya kits but they were priced something like twice as much as the Airfix and Revell offerings. Maybe next time.

Whew, quite a title I know. But I think that pretty much gets everything. Subject isn't really all that much of a concern other than I feel like a classic prop whether it be a Messer, Mustang, Spitfire whatever. 1/72 preferred just because of space concerns. Along those lines I feel like a single-prop too. Other than that, umm, whatev I guess. I'm thinking probably an Airfix, Italeri or Mono/Revell kit is going to fit the bill but that still leaves a lot open for suggestion, especially for any of you who has a preference for a particular kit you think will fit the bill.

Any scale is fine as long as it's 1/48 or below, and I'm referring to the "autocannon delete" modification that most Skyhawks flying for "air forces" have nowadays. The article that inspired this, because it does actually look really cool when loaded to the hilt with every upgrade: https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/40404/top-aces-aggressor-a-4s-are-now-the-worlds-most-advanced-skyhawks but notice it's cannons are long gone.

Is that guy scratchbuilt or is there an actual kit that tiny?

I don't know what the critiques of the Kinetic kits are but it looks incredible. Was the FLIR pod part of the kit or did you did it up from the parts bin?

This actually reminds me of the first design proposal for Mitsubishi F-2A. Really. -
I must say I'm impressed with the final product, but I'm also really impressed with the attention to detail included in the base kit itself and just the attention to design the 2009 movie people put into the ship. The detail of the individual phaser turrets in particular is just freaking insane! ðĪŠ

The Monogram kit of this subject has always been one of my favorite kits of all time - but this is like the Super Mega Ultra Superman Incredible Hulk Ferrari Lamborghini version! -

Stupid question is that a reinforcing joint on the vert stab? Given how old these things are I can believe it.
