With ya there man. Especially the Grummans; the bearcat, hellcat, tigercat, panther, cougar, etc. Very cool
  3. Impressive profile!! The C.202 and C205's are some of the sharpest looking fighters of that era. Clean smooth lines interestingly enough are similar to those of the He 111! Have not seen much of an interest in this bird though. I recently completed a 1/72 scale C.202 http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index....howtopic=215562 Would love to build one in 1/48! Again, awesome picture!
  4. Love the camou scheme. Nice wing tanks too!
  5. Thanks for all the great compliments, gents! <_< BTW, last weekend I finished a Macchi C.202 Folgore. Was quite a fun build. Only took two weekends. http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index....howtopic=215562
  6. This is the Hasegawa kit from 1992. Nice little kit with clean lines. All parts fit very well. The landing gear were a little awkward and as such I left some parts out!
  7. Two short weekends later... The base was made from a plank of oak which I worked some Danish oil into it with sandpaper then I used my woodburning kit to write in the name. The white fuselage stripe was applied as paint instead of the decal. It was masked off using Silly Putty. Masking tape and Silly Putty were used for the undercarriage.
  8. Nice details! "Remove before flight" pins and everything! Looks like the real thing.
  9. There were about 15 other kits present in that category when I submitted the MiG. It is hard to see from the pics but, the landing gear doors and all pitot tubes, antennae, and static dischargers were scratch-built. The other kits that I saw at the time had no weathering whatsoever. Made a 21 year-old kit look pretty decent!
  10. Never participated in a group build. Never built a four-engine bomber. Never paid this much for a kit before. Should be fun!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Good lookin' dirty bird you have there bro. Especially around the panel screws. Very cool.
