  1. Thanks, i have 2 more to do, but now, i have an idea how to do the "realistic" weathering look.
  2. Latest progress, i have to work quick now, cause it must be done till 14/12, it will participate on the Belgian convention.
  3. I started working in my left main landing gear, also started looking for my next project. But did not decide yet.
  4. current status of the progress; Wing, but will change to a clean flat wing. two fuel tanks tail intake right main landing gear
  5. I will start next week again on this Cat, because i moved some time ago. There is alot done since the last update.
  6. started with the painting of the fuselage. Also the walkway was made: Painting: painted with panel lines done:
  7. Today i have the two fuselage halves joined together. With that done i added more PE and detail. PE formation lights airbrake PE arrestor hook housing added some more scribing and rivets on the nose temporary the front panel inserted and added the HUD, also reworked the windshield a bit. It had to be done because you could see in the fuselage. I helps to close the gaps later on. Started with the belly rails.
  8. new update I added a wheel bay set to the list of extra parts, so the scratch work on the wheel bays is over. Also, my build advanced quick now, sorry that i didn't add pics of the crappy fit of the pit tub. Painted the cockpit Also to fit the cockpit, i had to cut the entire plastic casted bays, so there was no support for all the doors. It was a pain to get all the gaps closed. Like you can see, there is alot of filler and Mr Surfacer on the doors. I fitted the rest of the body. The MLG bays fits great next to the resin intakes. Also, the rivets that are wrong are filled, and pa
  9. OMFG, i got the wolfpack cockpit in today, and it took me 3 hours of work. I got even Lucky that i have found the wheelbay set, becuse i had to take the entire bottom from the tub. What a pain, Wolfpack you suck, i bet this is for the tamiya, not the trumpy. The only good thing is that its a B model, the only one. Aires uses the D set as B model.
  10. small update Added some photo etch on the MLG strut. Looks like Eduard is not that good anymore, the detail and accuracy of their tamiya set is alot better. (sorry about the quality, but its taken with my mobile) Also, my first vertical stabilizer is ready, painted and decalled. My first fuel tank is also done And here, my start of the MLG wheelbay
  11. One of the main struts. This one was 2 days work. I improved the kit wheels, and because the rubber stuff in the kit is crap, i made my own wheels in resin. First thing i laerned is that the A kit is not easily to make correct. You have to watch out with the period of the gun bay doors. So i made moulds to recast them in resin. Result: The Zactomodels resin intakes, great stuff to work with: I reworked the tails also, tomorrow i post some pics of it. So i cut the 2 pieces off of the body and glued the on the vertical stabilizers, and made sure it all fits. Also, added mo
  12. This is now my third large trumpy Tomcat. Each one it made it a bit harder to build. This one comes with these extra's: - Wolfpack cocpit - Zactomodels intake set - eduard undercarriage set - eduard exterior set - aires exhaust set Possible next parts or self made resin parts: - wheels (SF) - wolfpack armament set - Tarps pod (SM)
  13. Did some more work. I cut out the ECS exhausts, and reworked new ones. First tested with own made brass, but was to difficult. Because i want to make BuNo 161869, the F-14A kit of trumpy is incorrect. I need naca vents for the gun. Strange they didn't include them in the kit. Only the early ones are included. The i started to rework the entire inlet ramp, and the actuators on the rear ramp. The forward one, i cut it in two pieces, cause it has to be flat, and removed the stulpy pieces. The back ramp, i cut a piece off, and glued it on the forward ramp. This because the ramp schould
