  1. you lucky, lucky, lucky, bast*rd... Go for it... Phil
  2. here's the latest project off the bench... Revell's Bf110G-2/R3 'Zerstorer', with Eduard 'Zoom' set, Tamiya, ICM and other accessories... I hope you like it All the best, Phil
  3. Here's Airfix's 1/72 PR XIX... In Swedish markings, as supplied in the box. Goes together great, panel lines are a little heavy, but a coat of primer tones them down a little. No instrument panel, and interior is a little sparse...but for £5 GB, who cares... All the best, Phil
  4. Ooooh! Lovely, and about bloody time! It does look like they've moulded a proper B.III bomb-aimer's blister, an that does look like a Rose 2x.50 rear turret. I am going to have to add a couple of these to the stash! I hope they re-tool the figures to a proper scale, too! All the best, Phil
  5. Hope you like it... I really enjoyed this one. I don't build many modern jets, but the scheme really appealed to me. I don't know why the decals silvered. There were about 3 coats of Kleer (Future) on the 'plane and I used LOADS of microsol, but they still silvered! I also managed to break off two anti-static wicks from the elevators, and haven't figured out a satisfactory method of replacing them yet. Hope you like it. All the best, Phil
  6. I think the yellow was a bit too orange for RLM 04 And I notice that his kit didn't have any swastikas, either! Interesting to watch, though. I won't be quite so anal about my mottling in future! All the best, Phil
  7. I think I've got a couple from a Mk. XVI laying about. They might fit. What's the hub pattern on a 22/24? PM me your snail mail address, if these will help. All the best, Phil
  8. Does anyone have any tips or hints for fitting those damn mesh pieces into the intake covers?? I can't get them to fit, and It'll look damn silly without them!! Please help, before the model heads down the garden for target practice!! Phil
  9. Absolutely no problems whatsoever, mate...just a smear of filler in a couple of places. All the best, Phil
  10. She liked the Dragon artwork on the nose... I ALWAYS do as I am told... All the best, Phil
  11. Where do I start, Patrick... 1) Ejector pin marks/towers...EVERYWHERE! and they interfere with the fit all over the place, especially in the wing interiors...to be fair, though, none will be seen once assembled. 2) Cockpit. The bang seats are too short...they need raising a little (2-3mm) so the pilot can see (I didn't do this). The navigator's instrument panel is too far forward (Top should be in line with front edge of nav's hatch). Hood over radar screen too long. 3) No positive locations for any of the parts. Booms are just a butt fit to the wings, no location holes for the store
  12. What a pain in the *** at times! Decals are a mix of the kit's and Revell's, because I liked Revell's sharkmouth scheme! Missiles stolen from the Revell kit. Air intake guide vanes scratchbuilt (not in kit!!) IFR probe is a white metal item from Aeroclub (I think). I hope you like it, Phil
  13. I love this DSM stuff! I'm going to get the set to do a Luftwaffe start-up, as I have the German 1/48 starter trolley, with extra personnel and Kettenkrad. I'm just wondering whether to do an Fw190 or a 109... :( All suggestions gratefully recieved! All the best, Phil
  14. I think you refer to the 'Wellenmunster'...or something like that...the light squiggles over the main pattern..I think it means 'mirror wave' or something similar. :D I've got the same kit in my stash...I'll remember not to do the same markings as you... Phil
  15. Hey guys... Are we going to officially place this theme into the Group Builds forum...?? I think it could be a winner!! Phil P.S. Feel free to right-click on my proposed GB banner and 'save image as...', then use as you see fit.
