I guess some one OK'd the use of the Wal-Mart paint. There is a letter out about only using CARC for any paint applications. the rattle can stuff leaves an I.R. signature that really shows up when using NVGs and seeker heads on I.R. missiles too. Cantact Milspray. for CARC touch up kits.

Any one wanting in the 160th use to have to put in a request. They recently in the past few years were taking kids right out of AIT. Very fast paced community with lots of travel and adventure. I wish him all the luck

What reference pictures are you looking for, I have one on static display out side the building I'm in.

34201 is the number for desert sage. A company called Milspray.com carries touch up kits for all military vehicles and aircraft. I use to work with them and could get samples all the time for the cost of shipping.

The Army was fooling around with some paint like Chrome Illusion that would change color in different light. Think it was dropped since they couldn't come up with a way to do touch up painting.

It's a beautiful day when the helos are out....

US ARMY being repainted on the tail boom due to the Common Missile Warning System (CMWS) mod that is being applied. There will be an addition 5th sensor under the transition section soon. The other 4 are on the nose and tail vertical fin. -
CE on the right to clear the Tail Rotor in most cases. Muzzle down, Think we beat this one to death. As they say in the Army, You can't beat a dead horse. but in the Air Force I've heard them say, there aint no horse to dead to beat.

Hey Floyd, you got any more of them new Cobra canapies?
RAD replied to bonfire79's topic in Helicopter Modeling
Just received my Cobra conopy in the mail. What a difference between this one and the one that comes in the kit. Just this one part will make a difference to this kit. Thanks Floyd for the quick response and shipping. RAD -
I've been using a vega 2000 from Thayre and Chandler You can get 3 different size tips and they including the airbrush are very inexpensive. Around 50.00 for the airbrush. I ordered through Bearair.com

Just wish I had found this site earlier in my model building hay day. I was always satisfied with quantity, not quality ( same for Beer) There are some incredible models on here. I do have a Cobra 1/32 scale I just might go all out on. And if any one needs pictures or measurements from a AH-1S or UH-1H. I have 1 of each sitting out side on static display in fromt of my office. Numerous other helicopters on this base also to include the armed CH-47 Guns a go go

Same helmet, different visor covers. Now using one that adapts NVGs
