1/32 scale decals for AH-1Gs, UH-1D's and OH-6's
Fred Tannenbaum replied to Fred Tannenbaum's topic in Helicopter Modeling
Mr. Werner, having admired your work and products, I'm glad to hear you say that! Thank you, Lupus! I am looking them over! -
Good morning all! I apologize if this question has been asked and answered before. Are there good aftermarket decals available for the venerable Revell 1/32 scale Hueys, HueyCobras and Hughes Loaches? I recently discovered a stash I had saved for several decades. I've seen some of the Print Scale offerings that might work. I am disappointed at myself for missing Fireball Modelworks decals while they still were in production. Does anyone know if someone is planning to come out with new decals? With the ICM, Kitty Hawk and Revell repops, I'd think there are plenty of opportunitie

Wonderful work! Just wondering if you and other IAF modelers think the recognition marking triangle decals with these kits are the correct prototypic color or should they be more of an orange shade? Many thanks! Fred T.

Thank you very much! -
Thanks ahead of time to all for considering my question! I recently discovered a 30-year-old stash of models. One of them is Monogram's humble 1/72 F-11C Goshawk. Obviously the top of the plane's top wing is to be painted yellow. Can anyone tell me if the UNDERside of the top wing supposed to be yellow as well? Thanks! Fred

Where are some good places to White Tack?

Good morning! Thank you ahead of time for your consideration and I apologize if the topic has been covered. I welcome any links to previous conversations! When I first began modeling, I found that painting one color on top of another (using the old Pactra enamels) sometimes caused the paint to blister, have a cracking appearance or otherwise flake. How does one avoid this problem these days? Allowing the paint to cure (if so, how long)? Or making sure the paint is of two different types (paint enamels on top of acrylics and vice versa)? Thanks again! Fred

Good afternoon, everyone. Thanks ahead of time for your consideration and your help. I apologize in advance if this topic has been covered. I am about to start working with PE for the first time. What methods do you use to keep the PE parts from flying off your working surface? Thanks again! Fred

Space Model Systems still in business?
Fred Tannenbaum replied to Fred Tannenbaum's topic in Real Space Modeling
Many thanks, Pete! -
I'm sorry if this may have been covered already but does anyone know if Rick Sternbach's Space Model Systems is still in business?

Happy New Year, all! Thank you in advance for your help. I just received the Revell Apollo Lunar Spacecraft repop. I loved these old kits as a kid and am looking forward to having fun with this. I was looking at the excellent online resources to see what color(s) to paint the inside of the "lunar module adapter" doors but could not seem to find anything definitive. Any suggestions? Thanks!

As usual, just incredible! How long does each one of these Tomcat masterpieces take you, Darren, in terms of either hours or days? It seems like you crank one out per week!
