  13. I know that the GB is over but this may as well go in the final gallery anyway as Chris had been building during the course of the GB but only finished it tonight before heading off to bed. It's the old Monogram 1/48 F9F-2 Panther (built OOB) that he decided to do as the NMF Panther of VF-61 'Jolly Rogers' circa 1950 which was based aboard the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt and then USS Midway. This aircraft was flown by Lt. (later Lt.Cdr) Lawrence Cauble. The tail 'C' and stars and bars are from the spares box, the rest of the decals were designed by myself in consultation with Chris and printe
  14. Chris just finished this before heading off to bed for the night. For an old kit it has great detail.
  15. Thanks gents. I appreciate the feedback. Regards Andrew
  16. Hi Jay, Thanks for your kind words.I did get to one point where I put it aside for a bit but the GB kept calling for me to finish it. I don't know why, but the yellow ad black of the Jolly Rogers schemes are just so striking and I guess that's why I went with it. Cost me $20 for what literally was seven decals as the rest of the AZ sheet is not accurate IMHO. Andrew
  17. Well, she's just finished! I built this 1/48 Hobby Boss F3-H Demon of VF-61 Jolly Rogers OOB with the addition of scratch seat belts and AZ Models wing, rudder and canopy markings for the Ghost Town Group Build but didn't quite get it finished in time. Only a week or so late but better late than never! My son Chris and I now have every aircraft flown by the Jolly Rogers done from the first Corsair through to the Super Hornet. This is a superb kit and highly recommended. I hope you like it. Chris hopes to have his NMF Jolly Rogers Panther done by week's end to post here also. Just awaitin

  20. Hi Shawn, Have you heard from Impact or Hi-Decal Line? I sent an email to Impact and a PM to Diego earlier this week but neither have responded. Regards Andrew
  21. I got the AZ Models decals thinking they would fit this kit but I was wrong, wrong, wrong. The tail chequers are slightly small and the Jolly Roger flags looked wrong also. Anyway I used the tail markings and will touch up where the trailing edge is on the rudder and I will use the zig zags for the wing markings and canopy surround. Other than that i have basically used the Hobby Boss decals which are superb. I was fortunate enough to get a second set of the JR flags to correct the reverse issue Hobby Boss made with their decal sheet. I hope to have this finished early this week and I hop
  22. Cheers Shawn I have PM'd him as suggested. Regards Andrew
