  6. Ken, Brendon, thx for the pics... always worth a thousand words. JMC, thx for the insight, I think I'm seeing the light. FYI, I shot some Al on the leading edges etc., will follow that up with pale yellow tomorrow (I'm building a SJ 2003 airplane and the primer seems to have still been yellow back then). Marcel
  7. Thx guys, good info. Most of the pics I have (sorry cannot post since they are ©). A question regarding primer... I've noticed the primer on the intake leading edge (which sometimes shows on the lower edge) and the stub pylons (also sometimes shows) to be yellow. So, where is the primer yellow, where is it green? Marcel
  8. Hi there, I've noticed that the leading edges of the F-15E's vertical tails can tend to lose paint, esp. when in operational service. The surface underneath looks silvery-grey. Does anybody have any close-up pics of this to share? Thx, Marcel
  9. Looking awesome Guy! Your persistance is inspiring :)
  10. As far as making 1/32 AIM-120's (or Aim-9's for that matter), what would be nice is if you just made the control surfaces. Both the Tamiya and Academy missile wings are really thick and instantly give the model away as being a model vs. the real thing. The Cutting Edge Aim-120's and Aim-9's had beautifully thin wings, it has an immediate impact on the model. Marcel
