  1. Wow, OOB and it looks so nice, excellent job! How are the raised panel lines and detailing? Are there any bad joints on that kit?
  2. Looking cool. Can't wait to see how the rest of the kit builds!
  3. Hello all! I know this is not the prpular medium, but I thought this was cool. "Kit" si built OOB and I believe is aproximately 1:72 scale. I did not pick the gaudy color scheme, but hey, yhey have to appeal to American Children, right? Anyway, it isn't the most accurate rendition of the F-14, there are elements of the F-15 in there, but for thier company, this is pretty good. Flaps fold up and elevators are posable The landing gear retract And the wings swing back in sync!
  4. I've got a 1:48 Revellogram that's going to become a B-1R AMRAAM truck when I get over its imposing size (My first aircraft with gear down!)
  5. Either 1:48 2000-5 conversion, or a block-60 F-16 conversion
  6. That is some awesome scratchbuilding! You have gone above and beyond the call of detailing, great job!
  7. I like it! Its sort of how some of the car magazines i read show trailer-queen show cars that are immaculate and obviously are not driven. Then my favorite ones have feature cars that will have little nicks in the front bumper or actual wear and road-grime on the tires...signs of real use. Anyway, point is, it makes it look like it has seen alot of sorties...good idea! looks about right.
  8. Looking good so far, and awesome helios!
  9. Seht interessant, aber die zweiest und driest photos Ich conne nicht sehen.

Looks absolutely fantastic! Can't understand why 1:48 hobby boss is bashed so much, it seems like it went together perfectly, even the intakes aren't discernably(IMHO) distorted as reported. Love the weathering too, can't wait to see everything finally assembled!
  11. Exactly my sentiment, Ben, predatorial was just the word I was looking for.
  12. One can see it this way essentially, yes, they disrupt the shape of the F-16 and make it look overweight, but since they carry more fuel than a normal 370gal wing tank each, and are located on the airframe (reducing airframe stress) and are aerodynamic, the increased weight penalty of the wing tank would be more than offset by the general increase in capability. Wing tanks would now be unneeded excepting ferry/recce missions, there would be an extra set of hardpoints for ordinance (maybe a twin-AMRAAM launcher like the F/A-18E/F?), plus overall drag would be reduced over a pair of wing tanks.
  13. Aweosme Fulcrum, looks simply fantastic, very life-like!
  14. Looking great! Can't wait for it to come out, especialy at $30 (inc S/H) per kit, looks like a F-16 with a weapons set included!
  15. Just get a Revell 1:72 Berkut, build it, then borrow a friend's bandsaw... Wish you luck on it!
  16. Thanks! Are other boxings as fruitful in terms of both weapons and decals? How is the fit of an Airfix? -Mike
  17. I dug out recently an old 'Gawa MiG-29 kit that I had shelved after being disgusted by its size compared to 1:48. Needing a break from my F-161 I decided to dig it back out and paint, upon the realization that the front windscreen is missing! Please help if you've got one you spare. I am willing to trade an Eagle Strike "Ivan's Eagles" 1:72 decal set (for MiG-29A/C) -Mike
  18. Cool loadout and nice minicats. Can't wait to see how it builds up!
  19. The Academy decal sheet is only fantastic if you're using the "flying Razorbacks" release. Looks interesting, can't wait to see the progress on this.
  20. 3 Things: 1: Those all came with one set? 2: How much is that set (if yes to #1) 3: Did the markings for all those weapons (BDSP, GBU's, Irnon-Bombs, Sidewinders, ALARMS,) come with the kit? Relly nice work, like how its coming along!
  21. The CFts add weight, but not as much as one would think. They are just tanks after all, holding only a volume about 40% biggere than a standard 370gal wing tank (not sure). Plus, that weight is on on the fuselage, very close to the centerline, so roll/transient response wouldn't be degraded that much. Also, the G-limit reduction wouldn't be as severe as with wing-tanks because the weight is on the airframe, not suspended under the wings. Just my two cents. Oh, and I agree that in stnadard form the F-16 is a sleek, beautiful shape from most angles. But honestly, my dad is right, it does get b
  22. It may be somewhat cheesy, but the subplots are very good to pay attention to, such as Ranka's unrequited infatuation with Alto and the resultant angst, or the forcibly held-back feelings between Mikhail and Klan (how the heck will they work that out?)
  23. Awesome work, great job! :D Love the MH-53 and its variants, one of the coolest, especially the E-variant your doing with the extra engine. Keep it up, can't wait to see how it comes out!
  24. The Viper looks its best with a spine and CFTs. Now, an F-2 with a spine and CFTs...that would be AWESOME! Especially in that blue-on-blue scheme the JSDAF uses. (illithid00) Heck yeah, but the Japanese Air Force needs something who'se wings won't snap off in flight [cough*F-2 sucks*cough] with a decent load. Blk-60's for everyone! Major Kusanagi, Batou, suit-up (oh wait, they're cyborgs, they don't need g-suits). Prepare for brain-dive on mission objectives!
  25. CFts and Spines make it look more agressive and loaded up, just like the Valkires in the climax of any Macross series/film.
