  1. Hi Paolo, Thanks for your input mate. Wow, car paint, is that the norm for these kind of paint schemes in the Italian Air Force? Will make life a lot easier with a Halfords just around the corner! Cheers, Glen Also, if it lasted several years, I can do a little weathering then?
  2. Hi guys, I'm building the Italeri 1/48 Tornado IDS in the special Black Panthers scheme. Check out the link: My link Looking over the decals and instructions, there are no stencil or other airframe markings provided or called out for other than the special markings? Where the stencilling markings painted over and or removed for this (temporary)scheme? Hopefully so, it'll save me a whole lotta decalling Cheers Glen

SO today I decided to jump into an aircraft project, with both feet. Thought this one would be a relatively straight forward build.....wrong  Anyway got stuck in late this afternoon. Gonna enjoy this one, hoping to get her to paint asap, looking forward to that metal on black with panther scheme!!! Here's where I'm at, in a pictorial fashion This is the kit, looks great in the box, not s

  11. Hi guys, Can any of the post war British jet fans tell me is it possible to convert the Revell 1/32 Sea Venom to the 2 seater Vampire (T.55) as used by the Irish Air Corps. I guess if possible a whole new cockpit and de-navalising is needed? Were these twin-tail family very similar, my searching makes it seem so? I have a Venom line drawing but cant find a Vampire one to confirm? Any help would be very much appreciated! Cheers, Glen
  12. Hi sv, That's fair enough mate, each to his own! The Kinetic F-15 eh, oooh your a fire starter :D Cheers  Glen
  13. Hi Andre, http://www.dstorm.eu/pictures/nose-arts/f-...audi/1312_1.jpg That could very well be the Eaagle I'm looking for? 2 kills fits the story? Thanks very much for the links, great pics on there. Cheers Glen
  14. Hi guys, Have gleaned the following information from Wikipedia, I still have a number of questions: "Scripting and costuming place Stackhouse and Burnett in the squadron VFA-163 Ark Angels. The real VFA-163 squadron was decommissioned well before the Super Hornet was put into service. The Super Hornet, which did not enter service until 1999, was decorated with VFA-163's 1995 markings on the spine but was in fact on loan from VFA-122." Is this information accurate? What kits should I go with in 1/48 and 1/72 to portray the movie Hornet? Are there decals available that I could use? Any help
  15. Hi guys, My searching on google etc has turned up very little info specific to the RSAF F-15C involved in shooting down 2 Iraqi Mirages early in DS. Any info on markings, did it have kill markings post this incident etc? Allegedly the Mirages may have been carrying Exocet's, and were heading for Coalition Naval assets? Any info would be much appreciated.
  16. Howcome sv? What has the Academy kit that would draw you too it instead? The weapons sprues?
  17. Hi guys, Well it's 04.30 here, and the Hase 1/72 F-15C build is finished. Lots of clean up and a cautious first build led to taking quite a time to do it. Thought it would have been done by yesterday evening..... Tomorrow (later today???) I start the Revell 1/72 Horten GO 229. in the box it looks like a smashing little kit, with lots of nice little details, recessed panel lines this time, and much less flash to clean up. Am considering a little 'converting' in terms of making the wings fold-able for an idea I have of placing it on a German carrier type diorama??? It will mean making so
  18. Hi guys, Just got this build finished now, 04.30 Started yesterday afternoon, thought it'd be done yesterday evening.....but lotsa clean up, some fit issues and being cautious for my first aircraft to finish (hopefully) led to only gettin it done now. Just waiting on a quickboost Seat, Eduard color etch pit and masks to arrive in post (to be fitted later, post painting)and have Saudi Markings from a Colorado sheet. Quite a bit of Mr surfacer used to fill seems, daunting but didn't work out too bad? Anyway let me know what you think....not too happy kit has raised panels but will use a pen
  19. Many thanks RedDog, much appreciated! Cheers, Glen
  20. Hi all, Thanks for the interest and pointers. Would definately be interested in the 1/72 rendering. 1/144 would be too small for my tastes but thanks for the heads up on it. Will keep an eye out for it on Ebay, and check the links provided. Anyone actually built up the kit, be nice to see some pics of a finished model? Cheers Glen
  21. Hi guys, Here is my scratch built Dark Angels, Veteran Sgt, Space Marine. He is on a scratched base with a self sculpted Chaos cultist casualty who has come out worst at the end of the Sgt's Power Claw. Last year I entered my first scratch built figure into the IMSS show here in Dublin, a Foreign Legionnaire, this year I went for something a little different for my 2nd attempt at sculpting. Some of the iconography is from GW, but most is sculpted too. Name plate is by NAME IT. Won a bronze medal :thumbs-up: Here is the Marine in full on Photobucket: http://s271.photobucket.com/albums/jj14
  22. Hi mate, Thanks for pointing out the errors of my ways. never realised the equipment was so varied? Sorry for the confusion. It is for a Marine F/A-18D of VMFA-224 the Bengals, and it will be land based. The ordnance will be varied, JDAMs, Paveways, 330 gal fuel tanks, 500Lb bombs, and a mixture of AA missiles. Hope this helps you to help me, Cheers, Glen
  23. Congratulations on making Tech Sgt and the new B-25! Hi to Mom! Glen
