  1. Nicely done. Is this one completely scratchbuilt?
  2. looking really good... that pathway must be a tedious work to place all those planks one by one...
  3. recently I've started with this kit from Gwylan models. Parts from the kit: I've also acquired the Regia Marina upgrade kit for this kit: Casting is nice, but there are some misaligned pieces in the mold: Main mast: I've ended up removing the upper support, cutting it in half, realigning the parts and the superglue them back together: The dark line in the second pic is from the superglue, normally there shouldn't be a misalignment anymore. The secondary mast has the same issues, though the misalignment is considerably lar
  4. Nice work, and the lights add a lot. I like the colors you've used. have a similar one (Revell batwing from Batman forever, that is ready to start for paint, but there the canopy part is missing...)
  5. when clicking on the smaller pictures, I get the following page: for the larger picture I copied this link: and for the small picture I chose this option: To me, a forum is mostly about what can be seen, and your worked deserves to be seen... and it is not about clicking to enlarge, pressing return and so on (call me lazy ;-) ). If a topic gets stretched by a lot of pictures, I personally don't mind (except when it gets quoted with all pics included, but that's another discussion...)
  6. I know, but i think there's another way than posting the link to thumbnails: Still nice work, but these are 2 of the possibilities from clicking on one the pictures, I suppose equal amount of work, but one of them is more easy to look at...
  7. Looking really good... in all the kit is not that bad, but it takes some TLC.
  8. Thx, it's a nice kit eventually, but it needs a lot of TLC... @Trojan Thunder: thx for the compliment, it always nice if someone uses your build as a reference. Started decalling yesterday, took 3h to apply (puzzle is more correct) 12 decals that shattered when made wet, and broke into more pieces when trying to slide them on their place... Also, the decals on the hull-sides are too long, and not a bit: But it's getting there: Still a few to go...
  9. While drying during painting the ct threw the model from the table, resul: a tailfin broken off completely, canards ripped from the booms, paint damaged (broke off in flakes for some reason)...The reparation is almost complete, need to check for discolorationsthe ripped of tail just after reglueing:Tried to glue it with tamiya extra thin, and then fill the crack with some paint. didn't work out, so I used (a bit) more glue and used that as a filler, then some slight sanding and retouching the zone with a brushMaybe one more layer..Where the paint came off in flakes, I sprayed several cotes on
  10. I understand, but when there's only a few minutes between ending of the bidding and that offer, then I have some serious questions why the guy was bidding till the last moment...
  11. That is really tiny... but nicely built and painted....
  12. seems like a neverending story on ebay. That next highers bidders personnaly feels like a scam. When a subject ends, only a few minutes after that you get a notification that the winner doesn't want the kit and you can have it for you last bid. To me it's rubbish, I only offer to pay my last bid before the so called "winner aka friend or seller" started raising the price.
  13. Thx, I was in the same league, but I've found one second hand for 40€'s... so I didn't think twice about it...
  14. A what? A hornethopter, a steampunk flying thing, made by Industria Mechanica: It is a resinkit from a giant hornet that I started a long time ago, and continued some work while having some spare time. the parts: I had the thing in my mind take it more wasp-like, mostly by changing the lay-out at the back: original: and with a wasp the drawing forms a line over the complete back: and reworked with styrene sheet: and in basecolors with copper and gunmetal, some retouches are needed:
  15. Very nice work, had something similar in mind... some things that could use some love for the finishing touches: the holes for mounting the engine covers in the hull are missing, the tab for positioning the loose engine could be removed, and some deepened panels to mount te removed panels on... pls see this as constructive comment and not to tear the model down... because when I would achieve half the result with my kit I would be a very, very happy boy...
  16. seems like carefull cutting, fitting and filling to get things in order... unfortunately times 3....
  17. Looking good so far. This kit is a real gem, and you make it "pop"... nice work so far
  18. nice start, but some very, very small pictures....
