I think you mean 0.8mm ;) Guess I can erase my penciled in note and highlight the included one in the instructions... I was staring right at this step and completely missed the notation in the upper right corner.

Thanks, Jennings . Noted on my instruction sheet.

Seems like years, finally finished something! Snowspeeder

Rainbow 10 shows them in stock. -
No real research. Just to my eye and many others, the two colours (and in Testors MM enamels, to boot) show this hue difference. I suppose some people don't notice it, or possibly some paint batches don't show this, but it's a discrepancy I've always noticed.

Hard to say what that would do to the flight attitude aerodynamically (like that brick could actually fly in the real world!). Hard turn to port? nose up and to port? Anyway, using the as supplied stand, you're commited to flat and level. Still... very clean smooth looking build and finish. I've got one of these coming to me via R10... can't wait. Mine will serve two purposes, one as the kit and the other as a master pattern to scale this down to 1/72... -
Lurked on these builds for quite some time. Fantastic (and brave) build. A question: I see you did the pour method on the rear section of intake seperately from the forward section... how do you handle the inevitable seam when you join the two halves together? Thanks.

Thanks, I'm very aware of the FS595B colour system. This is a peculiar oddity with this colour in gloss or flat in that the hue is actually slightly different.
-
Assuming you're airbrushing, use several light coats rather than trying to get the colour down in one pass, that should improve the look and make you like gloss paints more :)
-
5-N is an upper deck ship colour. Also don't use 35042 with a clear gloss top coat. The shade of blue is different between 35042 (blue with green hue) and 15042 (more blue)... don't ask me why, it just is.

Works for me. It's a standard pdf file. Try installing the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader, should work then.

Moveable control surfaces, yes... but not with PE, just plastic. The engine nacelle engine covers, however, do use PE hinges.

Well, like I said, I make no claims as to their accuracy; these were pulled directly from Vol.16 of WAPJ. However given that the A-10 is capable of 14,341 lbs. of ordnance (with full fuel), these are all do-able. I gather from reading the article that these were taken directly from weapon load-out records from the various bases during DS, so some are likely direct flight missions (those with known target co-ordinates) so no loiter time would be required.

As promised here are the remainder of the loadouts (no specific missions assigned) As before, all loadouts have station 1 with 2x AIM-9s; station 11 with ALQ-119; station 6 empty. When stations 5&7 are removed it was "likely" that station 6 was removed as well. Desesrt Storm A-10A loadouts: #1 Sta 2/10: removed Sta 3/9: 1x AGM-65 Sta 4/8: 2x Mk. 82 (on TER; flat) Sta 5/7: removed #2 Sta 2/10: 1x Mk 82 Sta 3/9: 1x AGM-65 Sta 4/8: 1x Mk. 82 Sta 5/7: 1x Mk. 82 #3 Sta 2/10: removed Sta 3/9: 1x AGM-65 Sta 4/8: 3x Mk. 82 (on TER) Sta 5/7: removed #4 Sta 2/10: empty Sta 3/9:

Also, with Accurate Miniatures kits, FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS EXACTLY. Thier kits are a bit of a fussy build but you should have no issues if you don't put things together out of order from the instruction sheet. Thier P-51 kits are a bit more forgiving, but their more complicated kits (IL-2, SBD, TMB) will give you grief if you stray from ther recommended assembly order.

OK here goes: All loadouts have station 1 with 2x AIM-9s; station 11 with ALQ-119; station 6 empty. Night ops: #1 Sta 2/10: 1x SUU-25 Sta 3/9: 1x AGM-65 Sta 4/8: 3x Mk. 82 (on TER) Sta 5/7: empty #2 Sta 2/10: 1x SUU-25 Sta 3/9: 2x AGM-65 (on LAU88; slant) Sta 4/8: 3x Mk. 82 (on TER) Sta 5/7: empty #3 Sta 2/10: 1x SUU-25 Sta 3/9: 1x AGM-65 Sta 4/8: 3x SUU-30 (on TER) Sta 5/7: empty #4 Sta 2/10: 1x SUU-25 Sta 3/9: 2x AGM-65 (on LAU88; slant) Sta 4/8: 1x SUU-30 Sta 5/7: 1x SUU-30 #5 Sta 2/10: 1x SUU-25 Sta 3/9: 1x AGM-65 Sta 4/8: 3x Mk. 20 (on TER) Sta 5/7: empty #6 S

Reason being there were wiring problems with the use of the LAU88. So, it was used... just hardly as you say. That said, for someone wanting to model an A-10 with a pair (slant load) on each launcher (even rarer to see three on an LAU88 on an A-10) it is not unheard of. The loadout configurations I have suggest that the LAU88 was used in 25% of these configs. How often these specific configuratons were used is anyones guess. Also, the ECM pod employed on the A-10 station 11 in the '80s and into DS was the ALQ-119 for US-based aircraft and the ALQ-131 shallow for Overseas-based aircraft. The A

Sprue Brothers carry Wolfpack, but they are currently sold out of your seats.

Yup. That's the price I got mine for here in Halifax, $139.99.

Cutting edge did this sheet (stars and stripes belly), but... OOP.

I'll second HobbyDecal for line drawings. They are large, detailed and all views are represented.

Hmmm... Working on one kit right now (soon to be three). Close to 300 in the stash, not including figures. And by some esimates I have a "small" collection.

Pre-order? Get one when it comes out? Pfft! I've got mine in hand (well, in car trunk) now Picked it up at my local hobby shop at lunchtime... Let the plastic fondling begin

Well, here's my take on it. If you look at the photo carefully, especially the line of the nose to the center line of the fuselage and at the lines on the wall behind there is a distictive curve. This smacks of a photo taken with a wide angle lens which will have the effect of shortening the nose and tail and fattening the midsection. So I *think* all the flack may be over a distorted photo (?) Just my 2 cents...

$110 is the US stateside retailer price, just the same as the 1/48 A-10 was $80. If you want it at the "real" price get it from Luckymodel... it'll likely be around $50-$60. The Hobbyboss A-10 from them was only $40...
