Yeah, that was my article. I actually still have it saved from Paul's site in HTML. If anyone's interested let me know and I can send you the files. It goes a long way to modernize the Monogram/ Revell kit, but you will need some aftermarket sets and some basic scratch building skills.

My bad. I had thought the only releases were the standard and light and sound versions. Seems I was a little early to pull the trigger on my edition if there was a later version with bonus metal parts... ah well. Marc B.

Hmmm (??) I have the 1/32 Tamiya A6M5 and the parts you are referring to are plastic, not metal; H10 for the 20mm barrels and B2 for the pitot. Both Fukuya and Fine Molds did metal gun barrels for this kit (Fukuya's includes a pitot tube also) if that is what you are referring to. Marc B.

F-16N 1/32: about the 2 pods on the intake's side
Modelmkr replied to G_Marcat_Italy's topic in Jet Modeling
Aires makes these pods included with their ALQ-188 pod Marc B. -
Another good reference is here Just select the scheme you want in the colors & markings section. Marc B.

Hi all, Anyone have the 1/32 Academy F-16CG/CJ kit and building/built it as a standard USAF bird should have these left over. I don't know the part numbers for them, though. These are the ECM fairings on the sides of the intake that extend the formation lights. If anyone has these spare and willing to part with them, I'd greatly appreciate them . Shoot me a PM if you can help out. Thanks, Marc B.

Looking for some decent pics of the F-16 JHMCIS rceiver that is mounted on the canopy of F-16s so equipped. I've found a few that give a vague impression of the shape/ position but nothing really good. Marc B.

EagleStrike Decals also make some 1/32 sheets. Marc B.

As with other F-15s in the past, the feathers were removed for ease of maintenance. All modern F-15J/DJ (that I am aware of) are featherless. I recently got the 1/48 Hasegawa F-15J kit and those wonderfull TwoBobs Shiro Ruyu decals. The kit comes, as you know, with "feathered" exhausts, so I got the Aires featherless exhausts for this... problem solved. HTH, Marc.

Jared, that is exactly what I was looking for! I usually find if I can get a good reference on a detail, I can model it. Thanks Jared, Marc.

I've been looking at some of the images of F-16 block 52+ fitted with CFTs and have noticed a detail I can't identify. About 2/3 to 3/4 of the way back along the side of the CFT there is a small red disc/dot. It looks like a formation light or a port but I can't find any close up shots to confirm. Anyone know definitively? Here's what I'm talking about: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3224/261219...05187fb61_o.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3023/261219...51defd5d6_o.jpg Marc.

Nice stuff, and nice paint job! Did some hunting and managed to get a roll of this (wally world). I'll have to experiment with rolling the edge to get a feathered effect... Marc B.

HobbyDecal carries both the CrossDelta and Wolfpack items and seem to always have them in stock... just FYI. Marc B.

I have a couple of sheets of these already. I'm a little like warm on them... Let me explain: They are very much in scale to 1/48, which means they appear to be very dark grey almost black with a silvery overtone. In short they are scale accurate, but you really can't see the CF effect without a magnifying glass. The pictures on the site look good, because they appear larger that the kit part (i.e. magnified). So, for my personal taste I've ordered a couple of the patterns in 1/24 scale. Scale accurate? No, but they may give a better impression of CF, I'll let you know. It'll all boil down

Do you guys like the look of CFTs on F-16Cs?
Modelmkr replied to Dave Williams's topic in Jet Modeling
Don't hold back Scott, tell us how you really feel. I think we'll end up with people in the "love 'em" or "hate 'em" camp... very few people in between. I, for one do like the look. Yes, the Viper does look clean and sleek without them, but it has a certain aggressive stance with them. Marc B. -
I would liken the quality of the moldings to the engraved Hasegawa F-4 series. Meaning it's not quite as good as say their A-4 Skyhawks or F-104 Starfighters, but still way ahead of the Monogram kit... one noted problem is without modification, you cannot pose the canopy in the open position. Other than that the fit is on par with any of the new tooled Hasegawa kits... good overall, with only minor fit issues. Marc.

Hi All, New to ARC forums, but definately not to modeling... 30+ years now I've recently been bitten by the Viper bug and am working on getting all the bits to convert my 1/32 Tamiya F-16CJ to a HAF F-16C block 52+ (got the kit, Skunkmodels CFTs, Zotz decals, exhaust and intake sprues from the T'birds kit... still working on getting the parabrake housing parts [b1;B2;B17;B18] from the Academy kit). So on to my question. Does anyone have the 1/32 Tamiya Thunderbird kit that they could scan the instructions for me? The T'bird sprue parts I have are mostly self explanatory, but I want to mak
