  1. Hello Hotdog! I just found this while searching my company name for reviews/builds of my kits I may not know about. You did a great job and a ton of work on this. Its very impressive! The windows and tile decals are particularly impressive. A few thoughts: - The instructions suggest using pins to help strengthen the wing to body joints. Always a good idea! - In place of Milliput you should try Aves Apoxie Sculpt. It is much easier to work with that Milliput. The Aves is not rock hard like Milliput which makes it easier to sane. It is similar hardness to styrene or resin. When I dis
  2. You can buy the model directly from my Store. http://www.blapmodels.com/blapmodels_store/store.htm You can see more images here.
  3. I solved my colour problem. I may still email CAM Decals to tell them they have a typo on their instructions. I have also discovered there are a number of inaccuracies on their sheet as well. Anyways I really needed these in 1/48 so I am having them redrawn accurately and will get a new set made.
  4. Check this out boys! Thanks to Rick on facebook again. http://www.colorserver.net/showcolor.asp?fs=15180 It looks a lot like this! http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Testors-Model-Master-1-2-OZ-4219-MARITIME-BLUE-AN501-ACRYLIC-PAINT-/140672233715?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item20c0b7f0f3 I think I have located a local source for the Testors paint.
  5. Maritime blue..... :) According to Rick Sternbach on facebook.... The first digit denotes matte/gloss; the other four digits that I found in the blues was 5180 (but no 5108), so 25180 is called "Maritime Blue." My old Floquil book says it's a WWII USN camo color. Maybe that's it? Yes the number in the instructions is wrong. The paint is readily available. :) Thanks for the help here guys.
  6. Yes please. It is the blue colour I am looking for.
  7. It is the colour call out for this decal set. You have to paint the top of the rhino this colour http://camdecals.com/?page_id=4&category=5&product_id=348
  8. OK so I bought this really cool decal sheet for a project I am working on. The instructions call out a blue FS25108. Some looking on Google did not turn up a paint manufacturer that makes this colour. Hitting the dead end I decided to email CAM decals to ask them who's paint the would recommend. This is their contact page. http://camdecals.com/?page_id=2 Not only does it NOT have an actual email address to contact them but you have to install a CAPCHTA PLUGIN so you can actually submit the form! That is poor customer contact if you ask me. Just give me an email address like a normal w
  9. Sorry about the upper surface texture. I would have liked to add it but there really wasn't time or budget and it raised all kinds of casting issues. :( I would love to see a few images of your build and your solution for the thermal blankets on the top.
  10. Hello Everybody! I am the person who produced the masters for both the now OOP 1/72 and currently available 1/48 X-37B for Fantastic Plastic. I would not conceive of speaking for the quality or detailing on the competitors kit but I can for the kit I mastered. The 1/48 kit I mastered has a fully accurate thermal protection system scribed into the underside and sides based on all of the easily available photos online. I did not add the upper thermal blankets as it may have caused some issues in casting and increased the cost of the model due to increased mastering time. It also has the cor
  11. What decals did you use?
  12. Nice work! Who makes the decals and are they specifically for the Academy kit?
  13. This will be cool to see! How do you plan to simulate the fabric? I hope to see it in Hamilton.
  14. Hello there. :) Seeing there here I was thinking a clear resin canopy might be really nice. Maybe we can do a trade down the road for something like this.(?)
  15. Hello everyone. I bought one of these http://www.hlj.com/product/HSGSP271 a while back for 50% off. So I need standard markings for it. Where can I purchase a set of aftermarket F-22 decals? Any help would be appreciated.
