Josh, you can contact Tamiya America ( www.tamiya.com) to get replacement parts. They usually ship the same day and 9 times out of 10 they wont charge anything.

LD I have both kits. The Kitech kit is the exact same kit as the original Monogram. Its done in a grey plastic instead of the metallic blue. The only bad thing about the kit is the decals. They are very generic and the kit also suffers from the same fit problems with its original brother the Monogram kit. If you can find a set of original decals you'll be in great shape. HTH Tom

There is a model of Optimus Prime in robot form but the bad thing is its around $300 USD. Its also 14 inches tall. The last place I saw that had one was monsters in motion but i dont think thats what your looking for. I have heard that Revell was planning on doing the vehicles from the movie but when thats supposed to happen no one knows.

Can any of you guys tell me the visual differences between the Su-27UB and the Su-30? Looking at pictures there doesnt seem to be much difference visually (other than the canards on some of the models). So what am I missing here. I want to do the SOL Su-30 conversion kit and have both kits from Academy (Su-27 & UB). So if you guys can lead me in the right direction I would apperciate it.. Thanks Tom

Sorry but I disagree with your statement. Its not the "white metal gear" that causes the high price its the brand name and the reputation that comes with that name that you are paying for. I will agree with Brian about the Hasegawa kit not having much flash on the parts and nice crisp details . The Hasegawa Tomcat isnt difficult to build at all. Out of 30 plus builds I have never had any issues with intakes or general building. If Revell brings out a B Tomcat thats great. I just hope they did their homework and got rid of that funky nose, the nasty seams, put recessed panel lines on the kit

Hi Guys, I have a major delima on my hands. I had alot of PDF books on the Flanker on my hard drive but unfortunately it crashed and I would like to get the books back but I dont remember the site. So do any of you guys out there know where I can get copies of the pdf files. The books I had were. Flankers: the next generation. and the warbird tech Su-27 Flanker. The site that had the files was a free site. Any help would be greatly apperciated.. Tom

My ex-wfie gave me a food dehydrator. Its perfect for drying paint, future, ect. The one I have is just big enough to fit a 1/48 tomcat in it and the temp never goes above 110 F. and yes i know i spelled wife wrong

Yupp tried all three plus about a dozen other sites and local hobby shops.. Either there really popular and sold out or they didnt make many kits.. No idea either way.. Tom
