I too am at this point. I have kits built, sitting on boxes because I have no more room. You can check FB marketplace for someone selling display cases. Thats what I am doing. If you have no room for more cases, try selling the kits on eBay. You might also check with a local VA Hospital and see if they have room and would be interested in creating a display area for your kits. Or a local VFW. May even check with a local VA owned retirement center. Heck, maybe check into a recruiters office and see what they say?

You can also land in LA and eventually take Amtrak (the national passenger train service) up the coast to San Francisco. Just to add to this a bit.... If you cant get into the boneyard, there are a few recyclers in the area right next to the base that you can look at. Dont know whats all left as I havent been there since '17. I use Model Master enamels. I blend some pale green, a small dab of yellow and a small dab of white. Lighten a bit with white or darken a bit with pale green. Not all the panels on the same plane will be the same shade, depending on the age of the aircraft, and individual panel in question.

Dave ran into some unexpected issues with the new house but is getting it sorted out and taken care of as fast as he can. I cant say how long it will be before he is sending out orders, but he will get it taken care of as soon as he can.

Something else that is an A/B only thing are the emergency canopy jettison doors in the nose. I dont have time to find a picture, but its the door where the RESCUE arrow points to. These were eliminated on C/D airframes.

If nothing pans out, see if Squadron did a vac form canopy for it. I think they may have. Or wait until they rerelease the kit later this year and order a replacement from them.

I havent had any yellowing that I have noticed. Then again, my cans never get more than about 3 years old. (Im not a prolific builder) I do shake them quite a bit, and make sure that they are at least room temperature.

I still use MM enamels. As such, I use Testors gloss/dull coat on my models. No mixing, no adding, no levelers, etc. Straight out of the can. The base coat grey was airbrushed, the clears were rattlecan.

I had that back when I had a DON CA card as well. My flight line badge was good for up to 3 additional people.

What kind of surprises me is that they are very specific about whose ID card you can use. I am a .gov employee that is routinely on different military bases as part of the scope and function of my job. Having to have my ID verified from "up above" has never been a concern. I wonder if they would really be as concerned there, as they portray, to get on base, or if the museum would have an issue with it.

A squiggly line costs the same to print as actual text. Obviously Cartograf has no problem printing tiny letters and numbers for other sheets as we have all seen.
