  1. Anyone have any info for this kit? Would like to find a review for it. Got it extra with an ebay auction I won for the R/M HE-111 (A steal for $29). Doesn't have decals either.
  2. Recieved the kit from ebay today. Low and behold, not only did it come with decals (suprise) It also included the HobbyCraft Bf109E-4 in the same scale! I'm tickled right now, but can't seem to find any info on the kit. Can anyone help?
  3. All, Just won a He-111 on ebay last night. Kit does not come with decals, however all parts are still in their clear plastic bags. I'm wanting to build it circa 1940, and would like to know what aftermarket decals I should use. I could also use some online references for interior colors, and exterior paint schemes for it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  4. Finished her up today. Great kit for the beginner, however, not so good on the detail. The kit doesn't have an antenna pole or mount at all, and the roundels for the underside of the wings were not included on the decal sheet. However, I'm impressed with the fit of the kit, and the strengnth of the plastic; specifically, the undercarraige. If one of you more experienced guys want to take a crack at this model, I'm sure it can definately benefit from an actual cockpit tub and other modifications. So here's the finished bird along with the Hurricane! Any suggestions to help impro
  5. Well folks, This model is as simple as a model can get. It's missing detail everywhere. That's the bad news. The good news is this kit was only $10, and is perfect for trying out those new fangled ticks and techniques on! So here's the pictures so far: Should have started up the camera earlier, but this is the finished bottom of the kit. In these 2 pictures, you can see where I've filled in using a correction pen and a sanding stick. And here we are after finishing the top coat with RAF Dark Green Silly Putty in action! Whomever came up with the Silly Putty idea should be made
  6. Great job on that bird! I worked with those guys on the Kitty Hawk, and was there for 154's final deployment.
  7. Ok guys, here's the pics. This is the first time I've ever used Silly Putty, Future, ect to complete a kit. Sludge wash I used was 5 parts thinner, 2 parts flat black enamel, and 3 parts dish soap. Antenna wire is 0.5 mm elastic thread, attached with superglue. Canopy was sealed with Future and framing was hand painted, then cleaned up with my hobby knife. Not sure what caused the ring around the roundels, but I suspect the decals weren't entirely dry. used a #2 pencil to weather in the cordite stains on the underside of the wings, as well as the exhaust stacks. However that didn't really show
