  1. Superb! hope you complete this project.
  2. Im not sure about the kits, but I wonder if it has anything to do with the resizing of the fins post AA-1? the serial f-35 went with a shorter vert fin with a slightly diff sweep, more in line with the aerodynamics required by the smaller split nosegear upgraded door. AA-1 had a singular huge off center nose gear door that imparted unwanted yaw issues. just a thought off the top of my head.
  3. I have no problem with the new paint scheme, I was just noting the irony. And while I agree with you that the standard viper scheme is getting long in the tooth, there are definitely some things Id hate to see just in the name of change. Some of the old Navy schemes for instance, I thought were a bit gaudy, as well as detracting from the beauty of the aircraft's lines at times. Just my opinion, but then again, I was deprived of the apparently very relevant sociology courses as a youth.
  4. Not easily perplexed, just stating an observation. so whats your reason for being a bonehead?
  5. Sorry, but on the planet I was born, sociology courses have been banned, along with Oprah, sandwiches without mustard, and know-it-alls.
  6. Im a bit perplexed. One of the many whines about the f-22 and f-35 are the so-called boring grey paint jobs. The f-16 gets an even more boring grey paint job and its a drool fest.
  7. Getting close to the end of the year Jake, any good news on this most coveted (by me) title?
  8. This is ridiculously cool! btw where did you order those microscrews? really increases the realism.
  9. Hey guys! I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is any difference between the EFABS. looking at my pictures, the port EFAB on the longbow seems larger than on the standard apache.
  10. Soooo.... hmmmm... how do I ask this question without sounding like nagging? hmmm.... Say Jake, you must be very excited due to that Kadena book being so very close to release eh? :D
  11. Thanks for the Info Guys. Hopefully the Revell kit is set for very near release. Red Dog that was a very good review and gave me a better view of what I was confused about cockpit wise.....But wow! I had no Idea that rear end was anywhere near as bad as I had been hearing. Its WORSE!
  12. Has anyone seen a review of this kit? In particular im wanting to see what the cockpit layout is. any links would be appreciated.
  13. EE Lightning,Pretty? yeah pretty Ugly. LOL! I actually even would put the x-32 over it. well beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder.
  14. Major Irony in the fact that many who almost make a career of insulting the looks of the F-35 lightning, strangely think the electric lightning is beautiful.after many years of practice, I'm still unable to look at the electric lightning unless I'm using only one eye. to each his own I guess.
  15. AWESOME! My hope is that it is as useful for diorama reference as the "exposed" series is for modeling aircraft.
  16. When is the tentative release date of the Kadena book? That is still next in the Que ...correct?
  17. I believe this is a better link. http://www.f-16.net/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&p=241555
  18. No Jake, it wasn't your mistake. My son isn't exactly an airplane guy. anyway we just reordered about 3 hours ago.
  19. My son ordered mine, and I was so happy when it arrived, only to discover it was the superhornet guide. well.......I guess I will have to reorder.
  20. Hello Doc,

would you be willing to share the f-18 drawings? Im interested in doing an rc model but havent found anything near accurate enough

  21. I just ordered mine. looking forward to it's arrival. Say Jake, whats the chances we will see any foreign aircraft profiled any time soon? If not, then I,m still hoping for a Tomcat book. I have the Daco book, and while Its a great reference, more is definitely better. Maybe since it is a retired jet, you could do it just as a modeling project?
  22. The Lau trapeze ejector picture posted depicts the ejector for the F-22. not the F-35.
