  1. In the past I have seen this kind of tinting on a few *old* choppers, mostly stuff from the late 50s, early 60s. It was an attempt at heat shielding the crew from the sun. That it wasn't introduced into regular service tells me it probably wasn't very successful or impacted the safe operation of the air vehicle.
  2. Sounds good! This will be sized for the Trumpeter kit I'd guess?
  3. Just read it in the newsletter - glad this is being re-released! Will it be part of the September batch?
  4. Order has been sent... Looking forward to the decals!
  5. Looking forward to it :-)
  6. Yeah, totally forgot about that one, right. Hopefully it will be comparable to the MiG-31 qualitywise.
  7. AFAIK Tan Models from Turkey have announced a new 1/48th U-2R/S. They also announced (as did Hypersonic Models from the UK) a new SR-71... NB If you need a kit, do not want to wait for said Tan Models kit and wish to use the Italeri kit instead I would advise to look for the Academy boxing of same. This comes with a small photoetch sheet which might come in handy.
  8. This is great news! The old sheets from Cutting Edge and Xtradecals (?) are fetching "astonishing" prices nowadays despite being kinda old (the CE sheet was Desert Storm and before IIRC) so a new sheet is good news *thumbsup* Please include the ER-2 (or how about a "NASA-only" sheet with e.g. NF-104 / T-38 / F-18 etc. on it, might that be an idea?). That one is quite elusive but a splendid looking scheme!
  9. Thanks for the quick reply! Nothing urgent at this time but the Euro 1-scheme for example refers to the reference page w/o any further info in the instructions themselves. Am thinking about building a third one in Euro cam. But then again I might be tempted to use the Anigrand 72nd scale one for that. Not sure yet. However if you should have more info on the Kuiper observatory then the more the merrier. Have pulled some documentation from NASA Dryden that will go a long way but then again you can never have enough ;-)
  10. M1A1 Abrams - Rye Field Models 5006 for a Desert Storm M1A1 or 5007 for A1/A2 complete with interior. As for the Merkava Mk.IV I actually prefer the HobbyBoss kit although I perfectly understand that fixing the lower hull and the corresponding mine protection armor plate is not to everyone's liking.
  11. Hi Kursad, I know you have a lot on your plate so don't wanna be a spoilsport but since the instructions refer to the reference page for a few schemes would you have an idea when the page for the C-141 will go live? Best Thors
  12. THAT one! So looking forward to that :-)
  13. Hi Kursad, the link isn't working (the hyperlinked URL points to 72041 but your website then redirects to 72014). The same happens when I go to your website directly, then to 1/72nd scale sheets and click on 72041 - it redirects to 72014, the NATO moped ... HTH Best Thorsten
  14. Don'tcha worry, there will be lots of them available all of a sudden once the Roden kit hits the market :-p But first - the Roden kit ...
