  1. Just happened to get a quick snapshot of a Combat Flight Check bird doing a Localizer run.
  2. No worries, had more decals in the stash, almost ready for the final clear coat. Still have the dreaded canopy mask and paint to do.
  3. This boxing does include weapons, 4 AIM-7, 4 AIM-9, 2 AGM-45 Shrike, and 2 AGM-78 ARM missiles.
  4. Here's some pics I took with the apperature wide open for 20 seconds and a hand held flash in a dark room, it's my first attempt at this technique, still trying to get the hang of this macro lens also.
  5. Hey Kris, welcome to ARC! I'll get some better pics up to show your great work once I figure out how to "paint with light" on the I am a spammer, please report this post..
  6. I needed some of the clear parts for their 1/48 SR-71 Kit, I had to scan a copy of the original purchase receipt (luckily I bought online, was easy to find receipt), provide a list of the part numbers involved, and what steps in the construction manual showing the required parts. They sent me the entire clear sprue anyways, not just the parts in question.
  7. This aircraft was actually a commissioned build for one of the Qatari pilots who flies this particular C-17.
  8. Here is a model my friend Kristian built of a QEAF C-17. Since there were no markings available for this aircraft, we had to create them. I did most of the decal art work and Kristian did all the building and finishing. When I get better pics together I will post more.
  9. I have an Italeri 1/48 F-18E parts kit that has the sticks in it, let me know if Revell doesn't come through for you.
  10. Now that's what I call "off to a good start"! I'm still working on finishing the one I started.
  11. I need a 1/48 F-4C built with 366 TFW markings, you interested?
  12. Hi,

You have a lot of stuff with your Flanker that makes the total price scary for most modelers, especially this time of the year. I can offer you $300 plus shipping for the package, not trying to insult the value you have, that's just the most that I can afford to offer for it.

  13. Finally got a couple of these kits way out here at base-X in the mail. From a non-AMS modelers viewpoint, I like everything I see in the box and believe I can make a nice looking jet out of what's provided without spending months doing AMS/cleanup work. V/r Ron
  14. The first Phantom II kit that I built without the help of my dad was the Hasegawa 1/72 5000th Phantom boxing when it first came out, prior to that I would get halfway though a build and my dad would have to finish it (hmmmm, maybe I should move closer to where he lives). Even though I buggered up the paint job (the metallic blue I used seemed to never dry), I was still proud as a peacock of what I had created.
  15. Lol, we should start a pool on the number you will build in 6 months.
  16. Just added a 7" resin Phantom II "Spook" caricature kit to the raffle, got him holding a gun pod, should be a nice addition to any Phantom lovers collection. V/r Ron
  17. Bring it! With 92 eager builders and 17 potentials already signed up and 2.5 months to prebuild the nitpicky stuff prior to official start date, this is going to be one heck of a Phantom orgy!
  18. Ok, that's just creepy, you've finished more kits this year than I have my entire life.
  19. The F-4 Phantom brings back alot of fond memories of childhood and is the spark that ignited my love for airplanes. I'm a military brat, my father was a munitions (BB stacker) guy in the USAF. We were stationed at Clark AB, Philippines from early 1970 till the summer of 1979 (I was 12 years old when we left), F-4 Phantom exposure was all there was. I remember my father taking me out to the end of the runway quite often to watch the F-4's take off in pairs and sometimes in fours. Sometimes, they (munitions coworkers) would even let me use the riding lawn mower at the bomb dump to mow their gras
  20. Masks (and side decals) removed, looks like I've added another 2 hours of work to this project.
  21. Second green down, this is IJN green, Mr Hobby H-59.
