  1. First green down, this is the color used on modern russian aircraft wheel hubs, the label is long gone so I don't know what Mr Color it is.
  2. Here's how we're gonna mask everything, since I'll be using the open cockpit pieces, the one piece canopy becomes the cockpit mask.
  3. Figured I better knock the dust off this project and get it going again. Here's where the progress stopped, at the point where she needs to get masked for the green colors on top. Still need to finish painting the prop and dirty up the cowl seams a bit.
  4. He's probably skimming off the shipping to make more money on the book.
  5. Any F-4 Phantom kit, scale, or user may be entered into the build starting on 1 March 2013. The only construction that can be started or complete at the time of entry is the cockpit (including panels in cockpit area on inside of fuselage sides) and underwing stores (fuel tanks, missiles, bombs, ECM, pylons, TDY pods, gun pods, rocket pods, napalm, and racks). At this time "what-if" builds are not permitted (I'm not hating, just don't have the full OK to allow yet). V/r Ron
  6. Here's the link for the poll if you haven't seen it: http://s362974870.onlinehome.us/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=254078
  7. Ok people, we're down to the three month mark on the countdown :woo:/> . There's been a whole bunch of hoopla (in a very good way) about the new Academy F-4B kit, it's going to be interesting to see how many of those will be entered into the GB. I've been working on the ROE with Ro-gar hobbies (Robert) and hope to have a first draft by the end of the year. Don't forget, cockpits and underwing stores can be completed prior to the GB start date. We have started to amass some nice raffle prizes and hope to acquire a few more sponsors before this campaign kicks off. V/r Ron
  8. So much Phantom testosterone here, hope you all have signed up for the Phantom Addicts Annonymous GB starting in March.
  9. Hmmm, as far as I know it's the Revell kit.
  10. Good stuff, thanks for spreading the holiday cheer Waco!
  11. For me it's paints and thinners that US retailers won't ship by air because they deem the items flammable, and I'm outside CONUS.
  12. I think my first choice would be the F-16, excellent quality kit with little fuss (I'm building an Italeri F-16 now, how I wish it was the Tamiya kit). My second choice would be the Rafale, because I haven't built one of them either. There's a guy in our modeling group who is on the brink of a nervous breakdown due to major fit issues on his Italeri Mirage 2000C wing to fuselage mounting. And I know nothing of the Kinetic kit, hopefully they didn't use Italeri plastic. For sure, the F-16 would give you the fastest results and keep the model building fun IMHO. V/r Ron
  13. I've ordered from them for a couple of years now, just make sure you buy "in Stock" items if you don't want to wait for them. They package their items well and ship flammables.
  14. I would pay a professional to build all my model kits.
  15. Good looking build, the only thing that really stands out to me is the apparent lack of anhedral on the horizontal stabs. This could just be a deception with the camera angle and the stabulator positions. If you think the Kinetic Falcon is a pain, you should try building the Italeri F-16C, I find myself ignoring blatant irritants just to push through the project and get it done.
  16. Welcome to "The Great Wait", you have plenty of time to get your project together.
  17. They are supposed to be available in the US in early December.
  18. You take care of that Steve and get well.
  19. Hey Jim, I'll take the following off your hands if they are still available: HAS LTV A7E Corsair (P-14) - $25 (OB/PF) Monogram F101 Voodoo (85-5843) - $10 (SEALED) Tamiya Royal Navy Sea Harrier (FRS.1) - $5 (OB/SB) **fuselage free in a seperate bag** Academy F-86F (2162) - $15 (OB/SB) Fuse bag open but on sprue Rev F-18E S/H (2611) - $25 (OB/SB) x2 V/r Ron
