  1. Hi Gwen, Thank you very much, that is very helpful. Cheers, Markus
  2. Hi folks, Are there currently any aftermarket intakes for the Hasegawa F-15 in 1/48? I know Phase Hangar Resin made some, but they seem to be OOP. Are there any alternatives? Cheers, Markus
  3. Fantastic build, and great fotos! Cheers, Markus
  4. @Quixote74 Thank you for the detailed break down. that helps a lot. Kind regards, markus
  5. Hi! A friend of mine started to build models recently, and I am looking for a birthday gift. He is interested in british aircraft subjects and mentioned he would like to build a Harrier. As I am not really familiar with that type, I wanted to aks your opinions, which kits in scales 1/72 or 1/48 are the best ones, especially in regard to ease of build. Acuracy and details are not as important as an easy construction. Thanks for your help, Markus
  6. As I said, it was some time ago. To be more precise, it was in the 90s. 😉 So, good they fixed that. Markus
  7. It has been a few years since I built a Hasegawa F-16. They are nice kits shapewise, but Tamiya beats them in every department, be it details, ease of assembly and accuracy for the various blocks. Also, Tamiya has a full intake and compressor face, contrary to Hasegawa. IIRC the "Misawa"-boxing from Hasegawa doesn't inlcude a "big mouth" intake, which is present on block 50 aircrafts. You can install the landing gears later in the build, if you don't glue J13 and F21 until the build is finished. Markus
  8. So this raises the question: should I continue with the Hobby Boss kit, for which I bought a ton of aftermarket from Phase Hangar Resin, or should I get the new Academy kit? What would be your opinion? Markus
  9. Hi! Thanks! I used Zero Paints 2 Pack Gloss Clearcoat Diamond Finish. Cheers, Markus
  10. Thanks for all the input. Cheers, Markus
  11. Thanks a lot. I will go with a flat finish. Cheers, Markus
  12. Hi, i am currently building the F-4B from Tamiya. I plan to use the kit markings from VF-51 in 1972. The question I have is regarding the paint scheme. Was this aircraft painted in a gloss or flat finish? Thanks, Markus
  13. Hi! I am looking for a GPU-5/A in 1/48, for example of the Hasegawa Aircraft Weapon Set C. If anyone has this set and doesn't need the pod, I will gladly take it (decals are not needed). I live in Austria, so it would be preferably from someone in Europe to keep shipping costs low 😉 Kind regards, Markus
  14. Intersting. Just as I started the Hobby Boss kit with a lot of Phase Hangar Resin upgrades. Well, I will continue anyway. 😉 Cheers, Markus
  15. Yes, it was a F-15B, but it served as Strike Eagle demonstrator (71-291). And all pictures show it with ESCAPAC seats. As I propably will close the canopy, the different cockpit configuration will hardly be visible. Seems the True Details seats are out of production. Cheers, Markus
  16. Looks fantastic! Excellent paintwork and decaling. Cheers, Markus
  17. Hi! I am planning to build the famous F-15E demonstrator in the Euro paint scheme. I intend to use the Hasegawa kit in 1/48, since this is the closest starting point. I am aware of most modifications needed, like the closed gun port, the short speed-brake and so on. I am also aware that the aircraft in question was fitted with ESCAPAC ejection seats. Therefore my question: Can anybody recommend aftermarket ESCAPAC seats, which fit the Hasegawa kit? Cheers, Markus
  18. Hi! I want to show my latest bike build. It is the Honda NSR 500 in the Rothmans livery, as ridden by Wayne Gardner in 1986. The kit is from Tamiya, with aftermarket decals by Studio27 and muffler springs by Top Studio. It was also a nostalgia build, since this was my first bike model back as teenager in 1988. And here are a few pictures without the cowling:
