  1. I did a lot of diving with Tiger Sharks in South Africa and the Bahamas - here is a video I filmed with my UW camera housing in the Bahamas. Shows Dolphins, Hammerhead, Tiger- lemon and reefsharks: If anyone has questions about sharks - I will answer if I can. (Sharks I dived with: Grey Reef-, Carribbean Reef-, Whitetip-, Thresher-, Tiger-, Great White-, Scalloped- Hammerheads-, Great Hammerheads-, Raggedtooth-, Lemon-, Nurse-, Leopard-, Bull-, Blacktip-, Oceanic-Blacktip-, Bronze-Whaler- , Whalesharks)
  2. Oh my god, this build is jaw dropping. I'm giving up my hobby...I can never hope to build like this...amazing.
  3. Wow- now that is really something. Great! I like the stand you used, where did you get it?
  4. Hi folks, that is my second airliner build, it is a Minicraft 777 with F-Decal Decals. The decals where very good, a mix of silk and laser decals in one set. Colors are revel aqua colors that I airbrushed. The aqua colors have no scent, no toxic fumes or anything, that is why I use them. The blues are mixtures of blue, white green and yellow. The grey is a mix of black and white. I mixed the colors by trial and error, tested them on a piece of white cardboard. The glass part of the kit was used, I masked the windows to keep them clear, and used aluminum color to paint the frames. I like c
  5. That is a stunner. I like the effect of the clear red on top of the silver. It really looks liks like the real "candy apple" scheme. Superb idea. I am tempted to do a virgin jet as well. Maybe I try a 744.
  6. That is a beautifull 767. Great choice of color scheme, very well built. I like it a lot!
  7. This is my first Airliner Jet Model Kit. Usually I build 1/32 military aircraft, but as I work at VIE and see Jets like this every day out of my window I had to build one. It is a Zvezda 767-300ER in Austrian Airlines Colors. I used contrails winglets, braz PW4000 engines, flying colors detail decals and corogards. It was painted with diluted Revell watercolors with my airbrush. They colors worked well, and are odorless, which is important for me (my wife hates the smell of laquer or enamel colors). As I said before it was my first 1/144 airliner, and I liked it. It was fun and challengi
  8. Hi Folks, I show you my latest 1/72 Modell, a Saab 105 (Marivox Kit) of the Austrian RF-26 "Tiger" Aircraft. This aircraft is flown by the Austrian AF "Tigerstaffel" - http://www.tigerstaffel.at/ (Tiger Squadron) at Airshows and Tigermeets. The new Tiger Aircraft is the Red-Fox 26. Last summer the Austrian Airforce celebrated 40 years of Saab 105 Service (1970-2010) with a new Tiger Display Jet. In February 2010 the Tiger-Squadron launched an open design-competition, and to make a long story short - guess what - I won! That's my wining design: The Jet was painted in Graz LOXG, and t
  9. You would like to know about the water? Sure. I did it like in may Maldives diorama: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index....p;#entry1519865 It is made like that: Landscape and beach made of plaster. Then I color the beach and the seabed in acrylics, I spray blues, turquoise and whites. Then I fill the water part with 2 Component Resin "Magic Water" from http://www.unrealdetails.com/ That is a resin that does not heat or shrink or bubble. Its needs about 24 hrs to cure, its almost like plastic or very hard rubber once cured. After the resin is cured, I apply transparent clear Acrylic
  10. Regarding the paint chipping - you are right. It is overdone. It is the first model where I did it (its my first propeller driven vintage plane model, and my eight model in all), and that's how it turned out (by the way I did it with the salt sprinkle method). Thanks for the input! Regarding the marines: I imagined it as an exercise lets say in Hawaii or some other island. The marines are safeguarding an improvised base during the beaching, against an imaginary enemy. (I have no idea if this is realistic, my army service and training happened to be in a landlocked country - Austria - I thou
  11. Hi Guys, this is my Catalina PBY-5 Diorama, I called it "Island Beaching", its in 1:72. It is the Academy Catalina (OOB), very heavy chipped and weathered, truck and marines by Revell. Built within a picture frame bought at the local hardware store, landscape made of plaster. The landscape was then painted in acrylics with airbrush. I used "magic water" and acrylic structure gel (Marabu) for the water, then drybrush painted with white for the foam etc.. I hope you enjoy looking at it. I plan to bring it along with some other models to the plastic winter model show in Dom Kultúry RUŽINO
  12. Hi, first of all - I am sorry that happened. It was not a good Idea to put the TS-80 on the model I am afraid to say. I know you did not know this and now it is to late, but my advice is to never ever use a synthetic lacquer on top of acrylics. TS - Spraycans are a synthetic lacquer. If you want to use acrylics on your model, then flatcoat them with acrylics. That way you are safe. If you want to use a rattlecan spraycolor to coat it, use Gunze Mr. Top Coat in flat or semigloss or gloss. Mr. Top Coat is acrylic, not lacquer. I use those two approaches on my models - from innermost coat
