  1. Hi, UK wide stores called HobbyCraft which have asked for IPMS to set up building kits and talking to customers (We already have 10%!). Our first will be at Aintree branch near Liverpool 28th May. All welcome. johnc

Hi Vince, I am the member of a small group who would only ever make models of obscure, small air forces and collect photos as such (everything from Silesia 1920, Chinese warlords to the Donetsk People's Republic!) I think that we have between us several thousands of photos. We are also members of many branches of IPMS and above all the Small Air Forces Clearing House which publishes a quarterly magazine full of such information.   8. Hi there, There is a photo on page 208 of Dan Hagedorn's book 'North American's T-6. Markings maybe South Vietnam but could be US. johnc
  9. Hi Beingthehero, There are a few photos of wrecks taken by US military at Bagram in 2001. Can send if required.There are some in Yefim Gordon's book on Russian aircraft in Asia. Concerning Syria there are few photos in similar book on Middle East and several MiG 21 profiles. Hope this is useful. johnc
  10. Hi Kurt H, The Yefim Gordon book on German aircraft in USSR contains many photos of German aircraft. I have counted at least 20 from He 51 to Me 163 and almost everything between, all in Russian markings. johnc

Hi there, I was secretary of a modelling club some years ago and suggested that we have a change of competition, e.g. those who only built 1/72 aircraft try a motorbike, the racing cars for a WW1 biplane etc. No one was interested at all!!! If anyone else tried this I would be interested. johnc
  13. Hi there, According to Yefim Gordon's new book on Middle East Air Forces 10 Mil-2 Hoplites were delivered to Syria in 1982. These are described as 'armed assault configuration';I have a lot of Syrian AF photos but alas no Mil-2. Hope that's some help. johnc
