Thinking about starting my Pavehawk, Italeri 1:48. I have the Ausi decals for it which I may not use, and am wondering what Resin/PE is going to be needed to get it looking good. Cheers Andrew Mac

The Air intake is from Fireball's survivability set, along with the the IR shields, which it turns out the RNZAF hueys don't have. Joseph also includes PE wire-cutters which I used as the pattern for the ones I have made from sheet styrene. If I get a chance I'll shoot some closeups of the windscreen wire-strike guards, these are made from fine guitar wire. HTH Andrew

Please please 1:48th... Given that I live in New Zealand, which abounds with 500's of every shape, I'd be one of your best customers. BTW have you a New Zealand distributor ? Andrew

Without some major cutting resetting the console isn't doable and the seats are lower than the CMK one's. I'll have a look and see if I can fix the seats lower but don't think it's going to be easy. This CMK set is not all that accurate, if you position the cyclic where it is supposed to go it is hard up against the IP, looks better set back towards the seats 3-4 mm. something tells me this is going to be a mear to get closed up.
-
Yes looking at it they probably are in relation to the console, but I based the seats on the CMK seats so think that it's a case of the Console being set a little low and the seats a little high. Just had a look at my Ref's and yup you are correct... Oh well maybe the crew chief left the seats at the top of their adjustment stops for some reason
