  1. Well, what about the Aires ones ? SoutnViper
  2. Hi I am planning to convert the 1/48 Monogram F-100D to an F-100F (for what I have the long canopy from the Trump kit, which lead me to try this work) and I would like to know how was the second cockpit inserted to the fuselage or Was fuselage stretched some inches or just added an second cockpit (a la F-16s)? Was the wings, MLGs/tires and vertical tail the same for both planes ? Any recommendations ? SouthViper
  3. I would like to know if somebody here is trying to model a 1/350 USS RONALD REAGAN ? SouthViper
  4. Could someone here drive me to find good references of opened landing gear wells areas of the F-15s series ? I would like to model both 1/48 Revell "E" and Hasegawa "A-C" showing these details, even I know that they are closed when the Eagle is parked. If someone has pics could send me by e-mail? or if possible publish here? SouthViper

  6. I am planning build the Revell F-15E in one of the "We never Forget" schemes and I was wondering if those planes could be armed with AIM-7E-F Sparrows ? SouthViper
  7. I have bought this set from Roll Models among others from Missing Link. SouthViper
  8. Well, from the beginning I thought this kit would be a mistake on the part of Eduard, because it was based on the lousy kit of the F-16, which is the same mold from Kinetic, which is simply deformed ! It's that simple, however great our goodwill towards the Kinetic, the kit was poorly designed and mistakes can not be corrected using the same mold. Kinetic would have to REDO the molds. But since Kinetic says they can not even afford to make the canopies of Mirage 2000 adequately bubbles, how could We expected They would dare to remake an entire cast ? Moreover, two molds, for
  9. Or only for the smallest soldiers too... I am trying to make my Academy, 1/48, P-38M using Aires cockpit set, looks like it will be need to shorten the front cockpit or is that just my impressions ? SouthViper
  10. For the F-100 series there are several sets from LEGEND, 1/48, including exhausts, flaps, slats, etc... SouthViper
  11. I have seen several aftermarket companies releasing "Corrected radomes" for several model jets to substitute the original kit ones. So I ask what's so wrong with Radomes provided by the kit manufacturer ? There would be some technical impossibilities for the tooling of the kit's manufacturers to provide adequately the radomes ? Thanks SouthViper
  12. I have this set but it is plain as PE are. The true ladders are made of metal tubes, and I made mine using the PE set as a guide for metal rods and looks terrific ! SouthViper
  13. Well, it is very well an F-22 unauthorized copy !
  14. Fine ! I will keep saving my money... SouthViper
  15. Take a look at CAM Decals in the own site or model shops like Hannants. Good Luck SouthViper
  16. First of all the F-16 is such a beautiful aircraft, from the Prototype to the last Blocks the F-16. Even and although those CFTs You can see its seductive curves. And more, not just beautiful but very capable machine and successfully combat proven. I believe these qualities made the F-16 so popular and even more with large number of users and different camouflages. SouthViper
  17. I like the Aires resin cockpits and I use they as always I can. In fact some kits have problems to adapt theirs own cockpits (or else). Something that makes me prefer Aires is the scale fidelity of Aires, and this generally means carving some parts of the kit to adapt the resin ones. No problem. There is such amount of details incorporated in those cockpits that I think they are worth for the work. No Pain...no gain... I really always recommend using genuine resin parts on Your models, unless You are Mr.Waldron. Good Luck SouthViper
  18. CAM and TrueDetails are also very fine. I would go with one of each to represent some oddity to the model, since it is hard to find two seats arranged equally. Good Luck SouthViper
  19. No. I believe the better shot is the FM kit, I have it and it is very fine. Try at http://www.rare-planedetective.com Good Luck SouthViper
  20. Congrats Doug Very fine work , as always. Are the wheels for Sea Vixen the same for the Buccaneer ? Good Luck SouthViper
  21. jchowdown I would recommend You never use brush to paint metallic subjects. To painting the intake use Gloss White FS 17875, low pressure on airbrush, and after dried just mask the intake walls with some kind of made Yourself paper tubing, yes! just roll a plain sheet of printing paper at desired size and insert it to the intake and it will normally adapt to the intake's inside diameter, glue the paper edges with tape. Then spray with airbrush, low pressure, the blades with titanium paint and after dried apply some "special effects" with fine brush to give the desired illusion of d
  22. I found an Hasegawa 1/48 A-4M Brazilian Navy (very long time OOP)after I announced looking for one at Hyperscale. Good Luck SouthViper
  23. ooks like you will have to do a bit of modifying to get the seats to fit..... They seem a bit wide!!!!! In fact I doubt Aires seats are too wide because for the logical kit manufacturing rules/limitations the cockpit is always under dimensional to fit fuselage halves. SouthViper
  24. Hi Stephane Very welcome parts from Your productions and I really hope a paramount future for. I understand the Mirage 2000 exhaust is just a beginning point and why it was chosen. I remember the old resin sets, good for their times but sometimes unusable due unrealistic thickness. Then the PE parts intent which were fine but a pain to work with (Yes I am plasticmodeler not a metalmodeler). When Aires-Eduard technology came I found it the "unreachable star" was set. And now You say all when You states "Another reason is i want to get rid of the cast by hand step and use the 21
