  1. These Cobra models seats, and some other sets, are the same of the old but good ones by HighFlight resin sets, depending on Your model You will need PE for the belts. I think this seat was intended for the Monogram F-8 Crusader. SouthViper
  2. I have bought some of the new Aires AIM-9 Sidewinders (1/48) and they are fantastic but some have the body misshapen in theirs straight shape along the fuselage/body, being slight curved. What would be the better way to re-straight those fuselage missiles considering they have an extraordinary thin -transparent in fact- main fins ? Thanks SouthViper
  3. Since the 1/32 scale A-7 Corsair II from Trumpeter has the SAME problems than the HB 1/48 kit I would suggest You to take a look at Zactoman page (see His announces here at ARC's page) who has a correction set for the 1/32 (only) for the poor Trump kit . But this is for the monoplace version. If You already have the HB kit (sorry) You will have to modify so many things that is better to buy one Hasegawa A-7 D-E and adapt the HB cockpit correcting all those errors as per Zacto done. I never saw an A-7 RVHP kit but I saw its Crusader 2 seat and it is HORRIBLE ! If You are a lucky ma
  4. I saw that Master Models has released a 1/32 German Lotte 7K Tachometric Bomb Sight and I am planning to build an Me-262 A-2A/U2 (Glass nose bomber)using the both excellent Trumpeter kit + Radu Brizan's conversion set. But I am not sure that these specific prototypes were fitted with those Lotte 7K or were planned to be using that bomb sights. Does anybody here could clarify me that ? Thank You and Good Luck. SouthViper
  5. Wiggy Congrats for Your original and fantastic idea in making the spinning blades effect. I think it is much better than those I mentioned earlier (photo etched)in this topic. Also I really appreciated Your painting job. SouthViper
  6. Undersides are painted Silver (FS-37178), anyway as a silver paint it looks semi-gloss . SouthViper
  7. Yes, the Monogram kit has not raised lime light panels, like the 1/48 F-101. I will use the vinyl strips as per Ben's tip. Thank You all. SouthViper
  8. The Six (F-106) carried two AIM-4F in the FRONT bays and two AIM-4G in the REAR launchers , even with the "six pack" adapted. Good Luck SouthViper
  9. Recently I bought a set of the Lime Lights for F-4, from Steel Beach(SB). I intend to use it on my F-4C-D "Candy canes" 1/48 from Revell-Monogram but comparing the SB lime lights with the very good decals supplied in the kit, the SB are very short and narrow. Does someone here could help me in this instance ? and/or what were the real dimensions of the lime lights in F-4 Phantoms ? Thank You SouthViper
  10. "With access to all the high resolution images of modern aircraft out there, it doesn't stop companies like Trumpeter and Hobby Boss from really screwing things up" "I bought two of the F-94C's as a thumbs up for Kitty Hawk. You guys deserve support for the effort to come up with the Starfire. Please consider a 1/48 F2H-2/3/4 Banshee, and possibly even a F9F-6/8 Cougar and FJ-2/FJ-3 Fury at some point." Make mine Your words ! Go ahead Kittyhawk ! SouthViper
  11. I am building an A-7K, 1/48 from HB, and I would like to install an ALQ-188 underwing, Could somebody here help me providing an article, link or photo ? Thanks SouthViper
  12. Considering the release of the new paramount Eduard Brassin tires and wheels for the P-61, and how it resembles to the MAIN wheels of the B-25J, I was wondering if could it be used for the late ? But I have doubts regarding dimensions since are different aircrafts. Thank You and Good Luck. SouthViper
  13. Well, I think it would be better to take a look at Z5 site , lots of F-16 experts !!! Comments on the Kinetic F-16 kits are not even good , better go with the excellent Tamiya, or with the lesser wrong Hasegawa. Shame on We have not an BIPLACE version conversion for the Tamiya kit till now. Since generally cockpit kits are under dimmensioned I see no troubles in using the Eduard sets made for F-16 Kinetic kits on the Hasegawa kits, because the Hasegawa F-16 are a little bit larger, so You will have a very close proportional cockpit . Good Luck . SouthViper
  14. Well, the GEs for the F-16E-Fs are the more powerfull of this engine line, -132 if I remember well. But looking at pics in the F-16.net I was not able to see any relevant external differences between the -129 and -132 exhaust engines. So I would go with the Aires set #4425. Good Luck . SouthViper
  15. I saw that ARC comments on some neat resins missiles (1/48)made by NORTHSTARMODELS and the natural ask is anybody here has Ordered from that site ? how is their services ? Thank You SouthViper
  16. Is the Hasegawa Ki-61 comparable to the Arii-Otaki Ki-61 ? Regarding scale accuracy and surface detailing ? Thanks SouthViper
  17. Hello All, I am building an A-7K and I saw somewhere I can not remember an A-7K or "D" carrying an ALQ-188 underwing. Could somebody here help me providing an similar photo ? Thank You and Good Luck. SouthViper
  18. I like to display my models without pylons nor ordnances just to help pay attention to the aircraft design which is more interesting to me . If I add just empty pylons I think they should be very well detailed, otherwise they woul ruin my work on the model. Good Luck SouthViper
  19. Or You can buy the ATTIC X-29 , 1/48, kit , US$ 25,00 : http://www.atticaircraft.com/product.php?id=4_X-29 Good Luck. SouthViper
  20. As I always say : You can think it is expansive but You will never have it . :) Good Kuck SouthViper
  21. Have you heard a rumor ? 1/48th would be great. No, no rumors, sorry, but if logic counts... Good Luck SouthViper
  22. Good question : " Regarding the HB A-7K kit I would like to know if somebody here has studied the rear section of the kit to confirm if it has the right angle at the rear section , about 1.2 degree upward cant applicable to A-7 two seaters ? If not, (comparing to the Hasegawa, the HB "forgot" this feature) I would like to know HOW can I perform it on the HB kit ? where to cut , in milimeters ? Thank You and Good Luck. Tonka " Reading "Detail & Scale" on the A-7s I was not able to find an clear answer , specially considering the HB kit. SouthViper
  23. " If you're looking for something "SMALL", Trumpeter makes one in 1/144 scale " Well, so there is an light at end of the tunnel ... I believe Trumpeter/HB will release a 1/48 YF-23 soon, mainly if They see much interest in this very "awesome" aircraft, the YF-23 SHOULD BE the aircraft for the 21st Century. Good Luck SouthViper
  24. Exactly what kit is inside this ? Old ESCI, old Monogram ? What about its accuracy ? Good Luck SouthViper
  25. Take a moment. Hasegawa also released a new 1/48 Corsair II : D/E versions in the same box, (don't remember kit number but it is recent) I would suggest You to ask for the D parts from this kit from someone bought it for the E version. I really don't know anybody who bought this kit (nor me) but You can count with other guys here . Good Luck SouthViper
