As outlined in the GB proposal, these are the rules: This GB is open to any Russian or former Soviet Union aircraft, helicopters, military, civilian, any time frame. What-ifs are OK, aircraft only (we'll include ekranoplans in this), subject must be in Russian markings from any time period (i.e. no Polish Fulcrums or Egyptian MiGs, etc.). The spirit of this GB is to build a Russian-made aircraft or what-if of a Russian subject; truly building something from the Bear (i.e. MiG, Su, An, Mi, Tu, Il, Yak, etc.). I will add that lend-lease aircraft such as the P-39 Airacobra are not allowed as

Hi Adam1818, Not a stupid question at all. I primarily used the Micro Weld non-toxic liquid cement when I did the major assemblies on this. My guess is, the combination of a not-as-strong bond (as opposed to some of the more powerful cements available), and the amount of time this sat between then and now, would be the culprits of these seam problems. Hello All, I do have a bit of progress to report on the Stratotanker. Work lately has been focused on fixing what I've managed to break while trying to fix other things. I feel like every step forward is two steps backwards at this point, but we'll keep plugging away. So far, I've had all four of the engine pylons break their joints to the wings and have been working on bolstering those with CA and putty. They're pretty solidly on the wings right now, but definitely need some sanding and rescribing. Up to now, I've been using Tamiya putty for the joints, but I decided to give the D

Going back to one of Moose's earlier posts, here's Swift Air's 802TJ on a very bleak and windy day last week at KGRB. It was pouring rain when I stepped out my back door to take this shot. Arriving shortly after the Swift Air was this Sun Country B737 that, along with a G450, executed a missed apporach due to windshear warnings. A second approach by both was successful. And finally, two T-38 Talons at KMSN this week. The far jet in the first photo had experienced a mechanical issue on a cross country flight with about 8 other T-38s and landed at KMSN. It spent about a week there gett
