My Dad was the engineer gunner aboard "Ladies Delight" when he was with the 394BG 584BS. Eli did decals for me in 1/72 many years ago, now I will have to follow up my 1/72 with this beautiful kit.

I used a large size moving cardboard box since the late 70's to store my models. I use the foam/plastic peanut shipping material, lay a layer down place my larges model shake the box until the peanuts swallow it up then place more peanuts and models until I fill the box, I have had as many as 17 models in the boxes, moved them all over the country stored them in a metal building outside in Louisiana for over 15 years at the longest time without opening the box. then when ready to open I lay an old shower curtain down and pour out the peanuts taking time to easy the models out when they appe

I think I too the engine from an old 1/72 curtiss hawk, or goshawk kit and placed on mine, but that was years ago anyway, one of the Navy's yellow wings.....

Why are you not using a P-40C since you are building a Flying tiger paint scheme, or is what you building a 23FG aircraft?

I have used DOT 3 brake fluid, it worked geat, since then They have changed US cars over to another type brake fluid, not sure about the new stuff, that was over 30 years ago I used DOT 3.

Yes it is mentioned in the heading 1/32 scale, but thanks for the information... Will be looking forward to the new release.

I have stopped on my build of my AT6/SNJ because I can not find a set of decals for the all yellow SNJ. I did the modification in front of the cockpit to change it to a SNJ. but not finding decals for a yellow Navy trainer, only the yellow wings, blue/gray, and or the Blue Angle Beetle Bomber.

sort of on the same subject what about the Kitty Hawk T6/SNJ I am having trouble finding Navy training squadron SNJ decals

I want be buying another Kitty Hawk, 1/32 after I get this one put together... Broke 3 of the 4 engine mount tubes trying to ether remove from the tree and or getting the mold injector remains off the tubes. Almost tossed the kit in the trash at that point. Now the enine mounts are very weak. hoping the cowl and the cowl ring will hold the engine in place, want be able to open the panels behine the engine. Will go back to my Tamiya 1/48 scales

What a great build!!!!! love the kit others should check it out..... I built mine up as a early 50's spray plane my rigging just did not look as good as with my old Lindy Stearman. Wish Monogram had included the fine stainless wires as the lindy kit did

LOL I must be the same vintage Gary...My Dad built the old Aurora kit esci he bult, then the 1/72 scale Revells came out I thought I had gone to heaven. The 1/48 scale Monoram was ok not anything special. I had more fun building the ERCI ESCL kit finding some good looking aftermarket R-2800 to replace the 14 cyl. engines ESCL had included in the kit. Will be 67 next month, been building since a teenager so like you I have seen it all.
