This is huge: http://www.ottawacitizen.com/news/Federal+government+cancels+fighter+purchase/7663407/story.html

Funny how the detractors come out of the woodwork when a new kit is announced. If you don't want to buy it, fine - but who are you to tell these manufacturers what kits to release or not release? And how would you know what would sell or not sell?

In-depth review on Hyperscale: http://www.hyperscale.com/2012/reviews/kits/greatwalll4811reviewbg_1.htm
-
I've noticed the lack of reviews, too. I have a copy and the detail is beautiful, panel lines are very fine and nicely restrained. No sign of the "mad riveter". I can't say anything for fit or accuracy, but from first glance, the kit is very nice looking indeed.
-
I won't be purchasing any of their products if they have raised panel lines.

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about the following decals: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Microscale-Decal-44-4-1-144-boeing-727-737-WESTERN-CP-AIR-ANSETT-ANA-BRANIFF-/370590766085?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5648ee5405 Microscale Decal 44-4. Does anyone know what bird the CP Air decals are for? Is it the 727 or 737? Thanks for any info.

I'm selling a total of 16 Revell 1/72 Armour kits, in groups of 4. If you're in the Vancouver area I will accept local pick up. http://www.ebay.com/itm/300739311182?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 http://www.ebay.com/itm/300739311916?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 http://www.ebay.com/itm/300739312880?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 http://www.ebay.com/itm/300739313751?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

http://www.italeri.com/scheda.asp?idProdotto=2037 Looks like Italeri are reboxing Academy's 1/48 Hunter. I wonder if they've addressed the cockpit issues and if all the necessary parts are included for the Swiss machine. What's nice is that they are including an absolutely excellent decal sheet with far superior stencils than the original Academy offering.

Somehow Revell have managed to make 2012 a worse year than 2011. I won't be spending a penny on their kits this upcoming year. Sad to see a once great company completely tank.

Hi everyone, this is an incredibly long thread, I'm wondering if anyone can give me the Cole's notes version and tell me why so many people are so unhappy with the kit and how serious are the shape problems.
-
AB-212ASW in 1/48. Nice looking helo with a lot of users.

Matterhorn Circle also make a nice set: http://www.mc-one.ch/Documents/right%20stuff/dokuments/FA-18CD/FA-18CD-1.htm

Very cool looking planes. If these jets are ever represented decently in 1/48, I hope you make these decals in the same scale!

Hasegawa 1/48 A-4K Skyhawk "RNZAF"
Hoosfoos posted a topic in Buy and sell - add scale to your title
I will make it worth your while! -
Are there any aftermarket companies that make this set for the Hasegawa A-4E/F? It is the upgrade for the New Zealand Air Force Skyhawk.
-
I don't recommend buying it - it's overpriced and of poor quality, + lousy instructions.
-
Found them. Made in Taiwan. http://www.dxmdecal.com/p/coming-soon.html

Apparently a Japanese manufacturer is making a set of special markings decals for the 1/48 Mitsubishi F-2a Hasegawa kit. These are not the ones made by Afterburner. I am wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction to find these. Thanks.
-
I'd like them to continue with the Mirage family.

I'm predicting the purists will despise Academy's upcoming Phantom within milliseconds of its release, for having shape issues.
