  1. Don't know about the decals but Doyusha issued a DC-9 in Hawaiian Air markings in 1/100th scale Steve Rogers
  2. Yes, thanks...if you consider re-engineering the kit starting. I normally do 1/48 but I am quite keen on the 135. I admit I bit off quite a task but it's coming along nicely. I take it this means I need to cut the extra vent intake under the wing root. This begs the question, why three humped pylons and the extra wing intake vent? You would think if it was fitted as an RC-135 all the pylons would be without the humped fairing. I also acquired the Airwaves set and the True Detail wheels. I think leveling the main gear will be a chore. Steve
  3. John, You may be correct, I have not seen a full frame photo only the tail. I think I have confused the info on the Expert's Choice sheet. Those are all ADC gloss gray. On 63-8059, was it retrofitted from an RC-135? That would explain the larger stabs. Steve
  4. Earlier in this thread it was stated that the large stabs come in all the 135 kits except the "A" kit. Not so, I just checked my EC-135 kit that is in the process of becoming the Kansas ANG anniversary bird, a "D" IIRC with the large minuteman tail art. This may be one of the few with both outboard engines without the turbine intakes. There is still the underscale problem. I'm tempted to use a set of plastic TF-33s (I have a set of resin engines from flightpath) from the Heller E-3 and mix/match 135 pylons - E-3 engines and make new resin masters. This would help later, I have 6 of the kits o
  5. You guys haven't seen me for awhile but I've been lurking...Surface! Surface! Surface! I'd be up for this, I'm doing a MD-80 in Hawaiian Air livery between sessions reinventing Monogram's venerable 1/48 B-26 Marauder. Steve
  6. Believe me, this version is much better...character development makes the difference. There was a comment about the set-up time. The 1978 pilot gave you no background, they just blew the colonies to hell, no mention of Cylon origin or a previous conflict. I think the female "Starbuck" actually works. You can tell she studied the original series. The tension between Apollo and Adama is an interesting touch. Now that the sets are built...maybe with good enough ratings we might see additional episodes. I guess it will depend on how they end tonight's show. TinMan

In a word YES!!! They are great :P Once you use them you will wonder how you ever got along without them B) Another great tool is the Panavise with the extended reach head on it. The thing will extend out at least 6 inches and yet has very soft rubber pad jaws. It's great for holding large models such as 1/350 scale resin ship hulls. It means a 1/72 B-52...no problem B) TinMan
  8. OK I admit I am in the continental US but... I've done at least 20 transactions with Daisey. Perfect service and fast turnaround. I tend to think your poor service is the exception instead of the rule. TinMan
