  1. Woo HOO Both rams and fuujins. Spent time in both units. Glad i didnt go to the snot blowin goats the second time at hill. BAAAAAAAAAA
  2. thanks. The Gopher took silver in a club mini contest tonight. Some pretty good competition in a mini contest too.
  3. Thanks guys. SOme parts had me scratching my head. Mainly due to lack of reference. But enough staring at pics of it got me to break it down well enough.
  4. You would be able to fly those. At least some good ducted fan RC.
  5. Done and dusted. See it here http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index....p;#entry1796923
  6. Well for the most part. Im going to have a misile launching from it and need to add some antenna lengths to it. The base model is the old Skif kit. The road wheels are from the trumpeter SA-6 and the track is link and length from accurate armour in scottland. The model went together ok overall but was sorely lacking in details. The kit had nothing for external detail really. I added about 75-80% of what you see here.
  7. Thanks again guys. I highly recommend the kit. Its great when you want a fun build with no need for any accuracy at all. Hell the thing comes with 6 paint and decal options.
  8. The stanchions are made from a photoetch girder set and some sheet styrene. The tools are from various sources. The electric drills came from another detail set as did the fluid trays, note the one full of hydro fluid. The bolts in the trays are just grandt line stuff with the little runner left on for the shank of the bolt. The figures are as follows, the 2 males from the tamiya pit crew, frmale with wrench is a limited resin figure made for the Ma.k universe and the female pilot came with the falke. Seems the creator of the series, Kow Yokoyama, doesnt see enough of his stuff done up with fi
  9. Ok here it is at last. My digital camera died but we got a new one. Im still learning its functions but i think these pics came out well. Ill post some of the better ones then a link to the main album will be below them. This took first place at the IPMS regionals in june. Heres the album link. http://s306.photobucket.com/albums/nn268/H...segawa%20Falke/
  10. It doesnt? Mine always has a light sweetish smell. HArd to detect but there. REgardless of the method you use its still a good idea to use a setting solution. Using future as a setter doesnt soften the decal and reduce the carrier film. setting solutions will still snuggle the decal down into all the cracks and rivets. It also helps with compound curves.
  11. Your method is what i use. Microsol will cause some slight fogging to the future as it does its thing but does disapear. DO allow the future 2 days to dry with each coat though or when you put your flat coat on. If it isnt fully cured cracks will appear in the flat overcoat. Micro set and sol are perfectly compatable with future though.
  12. I took mine to a club meeting. Same night another guy brought a Shinden. ALot of the guys in the club thought the Sanka was a real aircraft and the Shinden was a fictional one The shinden is a bit bigger and sleeker. It does have the look of a fake aircraft next to the sanka for some reason.
  13. Another thing to consider is the strut height. Most manufacturers make the model close to unloaded no fuel status. When a aircraft is fueled it will literally shudder as the struts compress from the extra weight. Many a time i have seen crew chiefs kick the front tire on a 16 to shake it and cause the strut to adjust to the fueled weight. Add in 4000 pounds of MK-84s 2 aim 9s and 2 aim 120s and that craft will squat low. In modeling terms this is not a big difference but even the few mm removed on the struts of a kit will give it that lower stance. This can be easily done and is not a hard thi
  14. I have built the kit too. Great little thing. I still dont understand why fine molds wants you to put the decal on a flat panel. As can be seen i fits perfectly on the detailed panel. I did the same thing. More please.
  15. Generally they fire from left wing to right wing. Starting with the first missile loaded station. The pilot can individually select stations these days I dont know about F-4s back in the analog era.
  16. I hear ya man. I have tried different searches for footage. I may try watching the final countdown. I believe there was an overhead shot of an E2 in flight. The scene where its overflying the japanese fleet.
  17. I have a 1/72 Fujimi E2 and i want to do it in flight with the props and radome going. However i need to know the direction of rotation for the radome. I also plan on doing the formation lights and such on it. I know "the hasegawa kit is better" in terms of detail but its a bit much to spend for a project like this. The fujumi is nice and hollow. I plan on using a headphone jack as a mount so i can remove the model from it for transport. This way it allows me to put the batteries and on off switch in the base too. I have the 123 decal sheet for it as well so the radome will have a nice hypn
  18. Paasche is all that needed to be said. Try a Badger or Iwata
  19. Looks really good. I only spot one odd thing. LAU-129s dont use the "lolly pop" safing pin. Those are for S-210 rails. 129s are internally safed. Other than that great work
  20. Well alot of progress today. Got the wings, tails and stabs assembled. Did this to get them out of the way and ready for the big fuselage seal up. Next will be the gun bay and its associated panels. Bad news is my digital camera took a dump on me. Im going to see what resolution and pic quality i can get using my web cam and get shots that way.
  21. Sorry for tha lateness of reply. Been extremely busy and havent had the time to devote to the monster. But it is on the bench again. Expect some updates in the near future.
  22. Heres how it sits now and it still isnt finished yet.
  23. MGS-4 version is still about a year out. Im studying references in preperation for that one.
  24. Actually if you visit the blog page it says Bandai 1/48 on it. so that IS a 1/48 VF-25. Now the real question is will bandai make it variable like their 1/72 kit.
