Price for the 1:48 Hobby Boss A-10 has ranged $41 to $83. I am skeptical about the $41 kit (Luckymodel). "You get what you pay for" keeps coming to mind. The box looks the same. It is the one that I am looking for (it appears). I would like to get more input before I make a decsion. Any input from anyone?

I added a reply to my other Hobby Boss A-10 topic but I am hoping it might get more attention here. Has anyone heard whether or not Hobby Boss is dicontinuing its 1:48 A-10? While I was looking for the kit for cheaper than what I have found I got to the Hobbylinc.com website. There it said that the 1:48 Hobby Boss A-10 is discotinued. I hope that it is just discontinued at Hobbylinc and that I can get the kit somewhere else later. THX

WHOA!!! Has anyone else heard that the A-10 from Hobby Boss is going to be discontinued? Just my luck I got that from Hobbylinc.com...hopefully it will be just discontinued from Hobbylinc. I went to the Hobby Boss website and I could not find it.

I have copied and pasted this from my "now what?" post hoping that I might get input on my issue I have come upon...THX OK...I have decided on the Hobbyboss A-10. Are there any engine corrections, other than the correct fan blades offered by quickboost for the Italeri kit or aftermarket kits (mainly engines)? I have located the Big Ed kit from Squadron which includes: mask, int. PE, ext. PE, gunbay PE, armament PE. I also plan on getting aftermarket white metal landing gear and resin wheels. Suggestions? Maybe something I have not thought of. Maybe I have even thought about it and have rule

I have seen that many people have many different models in work. I ALWAYS have just one model in work. I am afraid I would confuse myself if I had more than one. I don't even know how I would do such a thing, logisticly speaking. Am I the only one that just has one model "in-work" or am I in the majority? Also, I have just 2 model kits to be built in my closet right now. It seems as though most model builders have many, many kits to be worked in which they have already. I have a pretty good idea which model will be worked when (what order they will be worked/finished). How many models

I was thinking the same thing. I was also asking myself what I do differently that my Future doesn't last that long...good thing it is cheap "Shelf life of Future" is one thing that I don't think about or have to worry about.

I recieved a diaphram compressor for a gift so I have not even thought about using CO2. I have also put an inline water tramp but I have never seen any water in it (and I have used if for years). Working and living in AZ you/I don't have an issue with humidity. I can see that if you are in certain situations having CO2 would work best. If there is a problem with using a diaphram compressor I have figured a way to work through it and I don't know what that would be. I don't want to know what that problem is! I could imagine that there is issues with them. OK...that is all I am gonna say

how about a candle or do I need to go out and find sucha thing? It is not uncommon for me to bend one improperly but I know better than to bend it back flat and try to bend it back. Annealing seam to remedy that problem a bit....THX

Then let the PE cool after it is bent...right?
-
I may be a little behind the times or a little dense but what is the point of Anneling PE? I have never heard of doing such a thing nor have I ever even thought about it. What do I have to gain if I anneal PE parts? Is this a common practice/is this done by eveyone? Should I be anneling my PE? HELP...THX

Oops wrong button...sorry. See my other Anneling post

HEY YAS (again) See my post in the "Marketplace" section. Any information leading to the purchase of 1:72 B1-B featherless exhausts would be GREATLY appreciated!! Does your local hobby shop have them? Do they have a website? Since I work for a major airline I would even consider flying somewhere to get them. (maybe more to come) THX

I (like probably others too) am looking for 1:72 B1-B featherless exhausts! I have been looking for a couple of years now. I wish I would have bought them right away (cutting edge). THX edit: Any information leading to the purchase of the above would be GEATLY appreciated. Local hobby shop in your location has them? Have you seen them anywhere? Since I work for a major airline I would even entertain the idea of flying somewhere just to get them.

OK...I want to get back to this. I am not into the exact accuracy of models. The only one that will see this that MIGHT point it out is my B1 pilot bother-in-law (and if you notice...that is a BIG MIGHT). I am going to keep my B1 in my "rotation" of models to do. I have seen many people say that 1:48 F-15 exhausts would work in place of the feathered exausts that come with the 1:72 B1 kit. If noone comes out with 1:72 B1 featherless exausts I will go with the f-15 featherless exhausts. What and where do I get the after-market 1:48 F-15 featherless exhausts? I would like them to fit as g

Hey ya, Sorry to hear that you have to sell it all off! I have been looking for about 2 years. I am looking for a 1:72 set of featherless exhausts for a Revell B1. I know that Cutting Edge made them at one time but are obviously OOP now. Would you havppen to have them or aybe have a suggestion. I am able to only see 2 of the items that you are offering...do I have a setting wrong maybe? THX -
OK...I am embarrased to ask but I don't know where else to ask. I should have known this before but, what is "Zoom" photo-etch? I know what regular photo-etch is but what makes it "zoom" photo-etch? THX

Anything for anyone to add??? pls THX

WOW!!! THX Jay...that is the information I am looking for!

UPDATE: I have come to the conclsion that it needs to be an A-6 or an A-10. I know of the HobbyBoss A-10. Is that the best available? 1:48 scale. I REALLY would like to get a kit that would have a masking set that I could get. THX
-
Hmmm...checked out the price for the 1:32 F-15C by Tamiya. $151 would be about double of what I am looking to spend. THANKS for the suggestion...keep 'em coming THX

Hey yas, I have gotten a lot from the ARC forums. I am now in the market for a modern military aircraft model. I am leaning towards a F-15C. I am sure that someone has posted this question before but what is a good kit to go for, regardless of what type of a/c it is? When I look for a kit, before I look for a kit I look to see what has a masking kit for it. I want to get something that has quite a few after-market add-ons to think about getting (photo-etch and/or resin). I feel that I am a rather experienced modeler so skill level really isn't a factor. After building a (Academy, I thin

I am gonna work on a 1/72 Revell B1...eventually. My brother-in-law is a B1 commander so I want to make it rather current. The kit is modeled with turkey feather exhausts. I want to model it without the turkey feathers. I know that there was after-market turkey featherless exhausts made at one time and they were kinda pricey when they were in production. Now, if one can find them, they are very pricey now that they are out of production. Is there something else now? I cannot find the turkey featherless exhaust that were once in production. I saw the pics of the one that was made with a

This may have been discussed before but I need to get it off my back. What bothers me the most is that the model might be made without any wow (weight on wheels). I look to see what others have submitted EVERYday. The model usually looks GREAT except that there is no wow! I very rarely see that someone has modeled the a/c (helis..anything) with weight on wheels. It has become the first thing I look at. Maybe I am missing something. If there is ANY wieght to an a/c that wieght is transffered to the tires. It is VERY easy to do...if I can do it it must be easy. For EVERY model I do I
