  1. Nakatomi! The only advice I can give you is: DO IT! And thank you Hajo, Moritz, Silenoz and b.l.stryker! I have an important announcement to make: The build has passed the critical point where most of my builds get stuck: The interior is done! I repositioned all the stuff inside and added tiny extras. Perhaps you can spot the two first aid-bags in green on the backwall. I also added a little joystick to the place of the sonar operator. As you can see the position of the seats to the windows is more correct now.
  2. Next try in posting my progress. Weapon of choice: Left before, right after: Cutting again: Rotorhead improvement: Rotorblades needed some adjustement: Assembly-line work: Current status:
  3. Mhm - I was able to post some of the pictures in the Post above. When I tried to post the pictures of the tailrotor, I got an error message. Because of that I post them down here.
  4. Because of the problems with posting pictures here I started a new album on scalemates: https://www.scalemates.com/profiles/mate.php?id=10037&p=albums&album=34018
  5. Doesn't work. When I try to submit the next reply with the next picture (98kb) it says, that I'm only allowed to upload pictures with 102.4kb...
  6. Idea! I'll do it picture by picture! Update-time! I made some progress yesterday but wasn't able to post (internal server error). First some plastic surgery. The stabilizer needed some cuts with the resin saw. I sweated blood and tears because I only had one left. The other stabilizer was used for my MH-60L.
  7. I'd love to present you some pics but everytime I post the links from photobucket, I get "Internal Server Error"

I sweated blood and tears because I only had one left. The other stabilizer was used for my MH-60L. Then I needed to drill some holes for the brass wire that will support the folded stabilizer. ...and that's the result. Of course, the edges of the stabilizer will get some extra details but the mechanical part is done. Then there was the problem
  9. That was the post for the groupbuild but without the picture-links. Seems to be a photobucket-issue.

  11. I tried to submit a new thread in the groupbuild - same result. Is it a problem with photobucket? Too many photos in the post?
  12. Hi! I tried to update my groupbuild-thread (link below) but I'm getting internal server errors all the time...
  13. Nice details. Very nice idea with the band aid!
  14. Thank you all for the nice comments. @rotorman: That would be soooo awesome! Or even better: a CH-53E Today I tried to finish all the interior work to get the airbrush out on the weekend. Look how low the dashboard needs to be mounted to fit behind the front screen. The Brengun pe-set is unbelieveably detailed. As you can see even cyclic stick and pedals are included. Smallest pe-parts I ever used! They are so tiny even the camera refuses to focus on them. Every seat has 4 single seatsbelts. I think I'll leave the casted on seatbelts on the fronsea
  15. Looks like a demanding task to get this done right. Nice start!
  16. Great paint job! Comparing it with the photo of JesusNut's profile field it's a direct hit!
  17. Thank you mates! Good hint! I'll definetly do that! I really regret I didn't do it on my MH-60L: Small ("te-hee") progress today. First some plastic surgery. The resin saw was used to cut the tail off. The sonobuoy launcher was painted ...and first pieces of interior were glued in place. Seatbelts in 1/144 are so tiny, I had to paint them before cutting them fron the sheet. And for all of you who want to build one of the little Dragon kits: Here's the one serious problem you'll have to solve. If you
  18. Better late than never. Here's the start of my little contribution to this groupbuild. I chosed the little Dragon Seahawk because those little gems are really fun to build and they don't waste too much space in the showcase. Especially when they are folded. As always the build starts with the interior. Dragon provides a little and simple sonobuoy launcher in the kit but doesn't mention it in the instructions. I wanted to give it some extra detail with wires. And this is the result. I think, I should leave the sliding door open.
  19. Great work on this build! I'd need expensive aftermarket-parts for such a level of detail and you do it all on your own. I'm a little bit jealous.
  20. Thank you all for the input! @Lancer512: Do you have any name of such a decal set? @midnightprowler: Not for me. I'm not able to get sharp edges with paint. Decals would be much easier for me. @Tank. You mean painting the tape and then applying it to the rotor? That yould be quite thick in 1/72.
  21. Short questions to all the helicopterfans out there. Is there a decal sheet, that can be used to get the color code-lines on rotorblades (red, blue, green, yellow etc.)? If they were thin enough for 1/72 it would be great.
  22. Nice save! Keep it up - every Sea king deserves a nice finish!
  23. What else can I say than: "Great work!" Especially your painting skills are awesome.
