  1. Nice! What paints did you use, especially for the FS30140? Cheers, Andre
  2. Ah, glad to hear that... I recently saw an impeccable model of this bird, with a great finish and detailing inside and out... and the wrong kit intake. I didn't have the heart to tell the fella... Cheers, Andre
  3. Be advised - this aircraft is a Block 30F and should therefore thve the Big Mouth inlet, which is not included in the kit even though Hasegawa already had the 'CJ and 'CG kits with the correct sprues out at the time of the release of this boxing! HTH... Andre
  4. What spine antennae would you need? I probably have some Hasegawa leftovers. Cheers, Andre
  5. Great, thanks! Cheers, Andre

    U-2 down

Last reports here suggest that it crashed on approach to its airbase in the United Arab Emirates... those U-2's are quite a handful to land, I've heard. Andre

    U-2 down

Just in: Let's hope the pilot is allright.... Andre
  8. Hi there, did the F-14 prototypes, and specifically the very first Tomcat (BuNo 157980), use the GRU-7 seat? Or another type? TIA! Cheers, Andre
  9. What kit are you using? And: did I read correctly that you're converting a plain 'C in a recce version..? Cheers, Andre
  10. Hasegawa included a white metal probe in their Israeli Phantom boxing. It's OOP, but perhaps you can track one down. Cheers, Andre
  11. Yup, I have one to spare. Drop me a message with your address. Cheers, Andre
  12. Alright, thanks for the clarification - I should have one of those to spare from one of my Fujimi kits. Cheers, Andre
  13. Yup, it's a recent repop by Italeri. Cheers, Andre
  14. Well, as the 'B used the same pods as the A, I have even more of those... after all, every Hasegawa and Fujimi kit has several different types of those. What style are you looking for? Cheers, Andre
  15. Oh well, that only goes to show Canadian beer is pretty good. 8) Cheers, Andre
  16. RCAFFAN, I don't think Revell reboxed the Esci kit - you're describing what looks like the Italeri reboxing. This is the Revell kit. Cheers, Andre
  17. Hi there, do you still need the 'D chin pod? I may have an extra Fujimi one. Cheers, Andre
  18. Revell has had a Huey kit for years; from the top of my head it appears to be inspired by the Hase mold, but recent boxings include extra sprues with seats, stretchers and other Medevac gear. The Esci kit, recently reboxed by Italeri, looks better, IMHO. HTH, Andre
  19. One other reason for the odd colors of the F-4J(UK)s was that the US paints were applied over a particular vivid yellow primer. This combined with the blue hues of the paints gave a somewhat sickly greenish tone to the scheme. I've seen shots of those aircraft that look almost turquoise! Cheers, Andre
  20. Nope - all C/D models had the short cans, the vast majority of F-4Js (an exception that comes to mind are early Blue Angels aircraft) used the longer type of exhaust. HTH, Andre
  21. By all means, avoid this kit: it looks like a shrunken Chinese pirate copy of the Italeri kit. Do yourself a favor and go with the (by no means perfect, but a lot better than this) Italeri. HTH, Andre
  22. If you're interested, I have a couple of the newer release of Hasegawa's new 1/72nd tool F-4E with the 5000th Phantom markings. I could be persuaded to trade for one of the new kit decal sheets. Cheers, Andre
  23. This weekend I've treated myself to the new Airdoc RAF Germany Phantoms sheet, three Fujimi Phantoms to go with it (a FG.1 and two FGR.2's), and I couldn't resist two Hasegawa F-111D/F kits (quite reasonably priced, too). All 1/72nd. Cheers, Andre
  24. Rats, sold out... oh well... Cheers, Andre
