  1. Well first, Thanks for informing me this kit exists! I must get it. Sure wish it was scaled up to 1/32, then the Revell Snap Mack kit could be easily used. For 1/48, there are Mack's, but a Die Cast, so rough on detail, and a good Dremel would be needed to get the sparks flying.
  2. Well, looks like I can buy the rear mounts only at this time? Seriously missed out on all the other items, this Click 2 I never knew existed! Guess i'm back to where I was in fabricating it all myself...
  3. Hello, Yes actually have two 1/100 Piggyback builds. Myself, and a friend. We are only as far as the kits, and Draw Decals for the 747. Myself, I want to do the (1988 or 1989?) version as I saw it pass overhead walking into work near Edwards. It is too bad the humorous stencil wouldn't show up in this scale. I have "cleaned up" raw 3D printed masters before, it seems best to use 400 and 600 grit paper cut to size needed, and superglued to toothpicks. For radii, I use the sandpaper in strips, or the bow type flexifile. As long as you know the type of rubber you are using does not adhere to the
  4. Dig the new LED landing/Taxi lights! Just an old Hog Dog noticing the changes... Would those be part of an update set? Wouldn't need MV lenses for this build.
  5. Yay, so glad this setup in this scale is being worked up, now I don't have to do it! Do you know what rubber/resin you will use? I know a guy in So. Cal. got excellent product. And what is available, or will be available in 1/100 scale? For instance, the Rear Fairing. Will this be a package deal to wait for, or do I get to scrounging around for all the items? THX
  6. A Wingnut wings trade of my Albatros DVa for his DH.9a straight swap with no issues - Thanks Frank!
  7. You there Frank? Sent out your WNW Albatros Monday Aug. 08 insured, messaged a PM. We still good on this trade? Appreciate update sir. Thanks!
  8. Hello, I have 1/1 F-4 Phantom Pilot's control stick in resin I cast from a stick from an F-4C/D. It is the same for F-4E, etc. I had made for a display setup but only got as far as black. None of the switches are painted yet. Casting is crisp with no bubbles. I am in Washington State.
  9. Check the details, ends today; http://www.ebay.com/sch/flanker4/m.html?item=232015759041&autorefresh=true&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562 Thanks!
  10. I'm good with one as an Airliner, one as AWACS then. Not going to Tanker town with this kit for sure - Thanks!
  11. I ran some ARC searches on this first, no result. I have two of the 1/100 Nitto Boeing AWACS kits. On Google I found two results that it is considered an accurate 707 kit. How different is either an AWACS, or KC-135 Tanker? Wouldn't mind doing one as AWACS. I know the KC-135 is shorter, but how far off would it be to do an E model 135? Asking because I do have some 1/100 fighter kits. Just checking build options - Thanks!
  12. Nice goin' and quite the off path selection! I see them (well, one at the moment) every night at work. I am considering converting a 1/100 scale kit. A good way to achieve seamless intakes as well as easy painting is to cut the nacelles just aft of where the fan goes, glue, sand and paint the front halves, install the painted fan and glue back onto the nacelle. Then mask the front until final steps.
  13. Sure, they are part of the squat switch on the main gear. When gear are under load, the doors are down.
  14. Hey THANKS! Scored a stack of other kits basically free since I got the 1/200 Bismarck from scratch & Dent at $188.00 (added with others total over $200.00 gave $60.00 promotion code)plus I had an older Gift Cert. for $15.00. Grand total of $178.00 Booyah!
  15. I doubt there are any others in the box than Factory as my Revell newsletter states; "Fully detailed decal set for a Demonstrator Version." But if you get to completion before any AM sets arrive, would think most sheets out there for other 777 should fit as long as the Livery isn't the entire fuselage length like stripes, etc.
  16. With some basic learning research I have found the main bridge was different (or changed) to the rectangular enclosed type for late war. And see in Pontos set part of it is included. So likely could scratch up the rest. Any other areas that would be modified from the kit? Thanks
  17. Ammonia dilutes Future as mentioned, just rinse the airbrush parts afterwards to avoid any damage. Can also be used as a thinner. Just be sure to get the pure, clear kind. Not that lemon scented yellow stuff!
  18. And thanks for posting pics, could you add a close up after scribing like the before shot? Thanks!
  19. That would be good to post, but need to brush up and get more comfortable with my posting abilities, still can't get my own Avitar to work here on ARC! And funny this life is, just found out today that one of my co-workers is ex-Navy Carrier crew and knows all this stuff already!
  20. Great stuff Hajo, the information, and your article. Appreciate you sharing both as it will be helpful when I build my 1/700 Carriers, even the water technique. For 1/350 I plan to have the simplified Tamiya planes down in Hangar bays. Thank you!
