  1. I live in the US, so spruebrothers works for me! Of course, Squadron would be a good outlet, probably. Thanks for the reply, and I will look forward to purchasing this kit.
  2. Fantastic! Where does one usually acquire FMK kits (online of course)? I've been out of the model purchase game for a couple years (budget restrictions), and I'm not familiar with FMK.
  3. Dual AMRAAM launcher? Love it! So glad I have procrastinated on the monogram kit. Any idea when this will be available?
  4. Thread title says it all. Has anyone produced decals for the Vigilantes' F-15s? Thanks in advance for any info.
  5. I have a copy of 1-1-4. PM me.
  6. Not to be a stickler, but I don't believe LM is involved with the C-27J anymore. I believe L-3 is the American partner with Alenia.
  7. Went to see it with the wife and kid saturday. The visuals were stunning, and the plot (from what I saw) was great. I'm not going to discuss the politics of it, because it is just a movie after all. If I didn't watch movies because of the politics, then there'd be maybe one movie every three years that I could watch. Hollywood is a liberal bastion afterall. Now for the bad part. I got serious motion sickness and had to leave. I think it might have been because of the 3D. The only other time I had this happen was when I watched Cloverfield. That one actually caused vomitting. This time I lef
  8. Even though you've already got it all figured out, I can guarantee it is a replacement. Not quite from a slick though, as the U-model's radome is a specific part. Still has radome anti-icing, some extra bracketry (is that a word?) and some special coating for the radar. All of our replacement radomes come in that color and are repainted when they get around to it. Refurb or depot, usually.
  9. The AFSOC instruction calls it Light Grey (that's helpful, isn't it?). But the FS is 36293.
  10. Curt, Was e/e in the 4th, now work for Boeing Field Service at the 4th. Yeah, that was 511 on the second or third flight out of here in the 94 time frame. We've had a couple of times where maintenance would depress the 105 too far during checks and actually raise the left aft tire off the ground.
  11. We haven't had any tail-sitting incidents in the 4th, at least not maintenance. The crews have drug a skid plate or two across the runway though. However, Curt is right she is very tail heavy...actually has lead weight in the nose to keep the center-of-gravity right.
  12. Oh, gotcha. That lump is mostly from a "doubler" (a piece of sheet metal added to strengthen the area). The light in that shot captures it really well. On most of the birds, it's really hard to tell it's even there, unless you are standing right on top of the plane.
  13. Looking forward to the progress shots...but the quote above confuses me...what "box raised section" are you referring to?
  14. Actually, exactly like that. The 89-0510 would be at the top of the box as you are looking at it in that picture (as if you were the boom operator). Color is white, the afsoc instruction calls it fs 37925 (not sure the name of that shade).
  15. Been away awhile, but saw this thread and just wanted to make a few comments. Ben, nice work!! First, top of the aircraft markings. As has been said, national insignia is there. The walkway lines may or may not be there, but the warnings are almost never there. The uarrsi box and slipway markings are there along with the full tail number, i.e. 89-0510. No liferaft markings. Second, how the 40mm brass is retained: an emerald green or gray-colored canvas bag is attached to the red frame looking thing at the end of the gun. There are usually 4 or 5 of these bags stored on top of the 40 ammo rac
