  1. Sweet! I'm gonna order it from Amazon! Thanks for the heads up! Great job on the kit! I don't think I ever seen those markings before.
  2. I like the markings on this bird. What kind of weapons come with the kit?
  3. Wow. That's impressive. Especially when you see the kit you started with!
  4. Great Wall Hobby. They make excellent, but expensive kits.
  5. I thought that was going to be painfully stupid. But it was actually really good. I'm kinda hype about CAS X-Wings now.
  6. Toad when I was a kid I did the exact same thing. I actually got hooked on regular comics by those Star Wars books. I had the flu one week and sent my StepMother out for my Star Wars book. She accidentally picked up some Secret Wars comics instead. Next week I went out looking for X-Men comics as soon as I was better. That was an addiction that wasn't cured of until I noticed girls. The only intermission I remember from my youth was at drive in double features. When they changed films. We didn't have one on RotJ. The only intermission I've ever gotten during a film was for Gone With the Wind
  7. That's hilarious. The other day I had a young teacher explain to our class that during the eighties you had intermission in the middle of every movie. I told her that there was no such thing. She snapped back how was I so sure. I told her I was ALIVE back then. She was teaching a film history class BTW.
  8. Thanks for all the replies. The pic was clearly a Hun but it was banking away from the camera, so I have no idea what type of Saber it was. Based on what I'm reading here it was probably a test bird. I have a uncontrollable urge to hang as many A2A missiles on every plane I build now. I'm not proud. 😒 I really like that Turkish bird's load out. I might replicate it.
  9. What kit is this? That looks amazing. I must have one!
  10. I had a really old book (it talked about the prototype of the F-110 before it entered service and only had concept drawings of the F-111, yea that old) that had a pic of an early Super Saber carrying 4 Sidewinders on it's outer four stations. Like I said it was old, and the sidewinders where either green or black. Am I miss remembering about which stations they where mounted on? And if I'm not, could you combine these stations with twin launchers on the inner wing racks for a total of 8 missles? Was this ever actually loaded on test or operational plane?
  11. Thanks everybody! I almost have enough AMRAAMs. So thanks for the offer! So could a F-35 carry that full load out of 12 120s? Or is it just conceptual?
  12. Is the pick of the Hornet above a C? If so could an E carry the same load? I gotta a Revell E that would look sweet with all those AAMs!
  13. I had a family member, who was an F-8 pilot, go to his grave loathing the F-4. "Son, that flying dumptruck was where it all started going wrong...." The more things change.

    Do 335

If you are interested, both planes are in the flight sim IL-2 1946. And the Do 335 is a very effective interceptor against Tu-2 Bulls. I actually prefer it over the Me 262. I know its just a game but it would have been possible.
