Thanks for the replies, a big help. I have now managed to source all the bits I need so thanks to those that have helped me out. As I will be building one of the initial RF4's delivered to Greece, I will be using the Hasegawa JASDF RF-4E kit, but swapping the wings with a F-4E, I also intend using the Paragon inboard slats. Other parts being used are DMold RF4 intakes, Aires RF-4B detail set(camera bay, wheel bays, cockpit, exhausts) ECM fairings(long) from the F-4S kit. rear stabilizers from Airdoc unslotted and without the bracing plate. I have never built the 1/48 Revell Typhoon yself, but have heard from several people that have and they all say the kit seat is the best on offer at the moment.

VX5 "Vampries" are the Air development squadron, and have been based at NAS China Lake since 1956, they have never been based at Point Mugu as a full Sqn or detachment. Their a/c are also normally always painted in the Tactical scheme associated with that type, not Day-Glo Orange.
