This release will also have full colour pictures. Not the black and white ones in the old edition. Now we can only hope for a full colur re edition of the (N)F-5 book.

Dutch Airforce C-130H-30 (Italeri 1/72)
Dutch Viper builder replied to Dutch Viper builder's topic in The Display Case
Hi Ray, The ALR pods on the wing tips are scratch build. The ECM pod comes from the Revell 1/72 F-16C and de ECM pylon is scratch build. I made some master from these 3 items so that I can create my own resin copies. Just drop me a PM if you want copies. Glad to help you since you provided the right hand sponson. -
My latest build. The 1/72 Italeri C-130H-30 (stretched version) of the Royal Netherlands Airforce. Decals are from Flevodecals. It required a lot of sanding. I used the Flightpath extension plugs, engines and detail set. Enjoy the pics.

I made my own resin one: http://www.cyberpolleke.nl/2010_09_12/f124.JPG It is based on the original RoG intake and made a more or less seamless one. Did spent quite a lot of time in sansing, filling, sanding, etc. This one is for the F-16AM (The MLU version).

1/72 F-16 Cockpits for revell kits?
Dutch Viper builder replied to PoseidonSv's topic in Jet Modeling
I used the Aires one (item 7130) for my F-16AM. This one is alsmost the same as an F-16AM cockpit. Differences in 1/72 can be neglected. You need to carefully cut out some parts and do some sanding at the sides of the tub. After this it will fit quite well. -
The quality of the kit is quite good. I only noticed some tiny air bubbles in the canopy. Once it was painted you don't notice them any more. Personally I did not like the wheels, the pylons and the missiles. That is why I replaced the weels to give it more a fighter like look. Missiles and pylons are the poorest parts of the kit; however when you look at pics of the real thing they quite adequately look like the real thing.

The build was quick and easy. The only tricky part is the landing gear. The fron landing gear is quite fragile. Take care when removing and glueing it into its place. First put the main landing gear and then the landing gear doors. I did not glue the main landing gear. It fits so tight that no glue is required. This project took 2 weeks on and off to finish.

Enclosed some pics of my SA-43 Hammerhead. Assembly of the fuselage was quick and easy. I used a Pattex 5mins epoxy glue. By doing so I still could make some minor adjustments. I decided to fill the gaps for the underwing pylons and to create a "clean" Hammerhead. The pylons need to be placed in the bend of the wing (if you decide to use them). The size of the kit can be compared with a 1/72nd scale F-16. The following colours were used: Preshading met Xtracolor black X404. Fuselage Xtracolor X131 FS36231. Wing leading edge Xtracolor X318 West Pac Security Service Blue. I've added some

Is the normal F-16 intake also expected? This to replace the Revell kit items? That would be really nice.
