  1. Thanks. I tried there and it says their PayPal portal is down. I emailed with no reply.
  2. If you were in the US maybe a Lav25 but shipping from Canada would be steep. Rob
  3. I’m looking for 1/35 Stryker kits. I’m not looking for a specific kit. I’m just looking to build a stash. Let me know what you have in kits and aftermarket. Rob
  4. I'm looking for aftermarket PE sets or cockpit sets for the Trumpeter T-38A and C kits. Let me know what you have what the cost is. Thanks! Rob

    1/48 SBD-3 Midway

That looks great. I will definitely get the metal barrels as they are too prominent to have clunky plastic in my opinion. I would actually be ok with small inaccuaracies such as the mount and armor. This will be a shelfer and as long as I get the twin guns, I think I will be happy. Finding my decals will also be a bit of a challenegs I believe. Rob

So if I were to get an AM SBD-5 kit or the guns from it would that work? Rob

Thanks. That’s not the info that I was hoping for but it confirms my research. Rob

    1/48 SBD-3 Midway

I believe this is my first airplane post here and definitely my first WWII build. I am researching the needed items for a build of Richard Best's SBD-3 from the Battle of Midway. I have the Accurate Miniatures SBD-3 kit on the way. I know it includes the early, single rear gun and by Midway, most if not all -3's were changed over to the dual rear guns, including Best's. Is there a source for the dual gun setup for an accurate build that is reasonably easy to find and afford? I also need a set of decals if anyone has some to sell. Thanks! Rob
  11. Thanks for the tip Dutch. I emailed Chris and he said he didn't have the Monogram but would add it to his to do list. He said he thought that the Testors set would be close with a couple of cuts but he is out of town and can't confirm. Rob
  12. Thanks for the info. I'll have to do it the hard way. 😂
  13. I'm in need of a set of canopy masks for the 1/48 Monogram F-4C. If no one has a set would one of the sets for another manufacturer work? Thanks! Rob
  14. I have a friend looking for the 1/32 Zotz F-4S ZTZ32070 sheet. If anyone has one to sell I'd be grateful. Rob
  15. Does anyone have this sheet that they'd be willing to part with or even the part that has the Darth Vader and related markings? 1/48 Fightertown EA-6B VAQ-209/VAQ-129 Dark Knights & Dragons Thanks! Rob

    Need B-24 advice

Thanks for the info on the ball turret. That's interesting info but this is just going to be a fun build for me, probably OOB. I know there are some other issues with the kit but this build is just to put my favorite B-24 on the shelf and judge my interest/skills at building aircraft. I'm not that worried about the accuracy at this point. Rob

    Need B-24 advice

I want to continue to thank each of you for the advice and photos. I have one more. I have purchased the Revell 1/48 B-24D to build the Strawberry bad girl with Mike Grant decals. One thing I know I will need is a set of masks. Which mask would be best; the Eduard or EZ mask sets? What is the major difference between them. I can't find any photos of the EZ mask set. Rob

    Need B-24 advice

Thanks for the photos! I never get tired of looking at good shots from WWII, especially color shots! Strawberry bad girl is my favorite. I've seen her many times at the Air Force Museum in Dayton. I've loved her for more than 30 yrs now! LOL Rob

    Need B-24 advice

I want to thank you guys for all of the replies. This is some fabulous info. Since I want to build one to get my feet wet instead of a detailed accurate build I have an idea now. I am glad to hear that there are not a lot of flaws constructionwise with the Revell as I had my mind pointed in that direction. I don't remember seeing an Academy or Minicraft in 1/72 and probably would have ignored them based on prior experience. I'm glad to hear they are viable options. The Hasegawa kit is nice but way too expensive for this point in my aircraft building. Once I get a build in to get started I may

    Need B-24 advice

I'm wanting to build a B-24 kit but I don't know which kit to go with. Other than the Revell X-15, I haven't really built a plane kit since I was a kid starting in the hobby. I have been building cars for 30+ years so I'm not a newbie but the plane's fuselage seams and panel lines intimidate me. I am most interested in some of the 1/48 scale kits but 1/72 would be ok too. The B-24D is my favorite model but I'm not stuck on it. Which available kit would be my best bet to start with. I'm not really looking at accuracy of details as being the big factor but which kit would be the easiest build
  21. I think I like this one better than the Beast. I like it in this camo pattern. Rob
  22. This looks great Don! This is the first chance I have had to check out your new postings. I like this one a lot. It looks like you got past the window problems of the first build. Rob
  23. I see what you were talking about on the windows. I hadn't noticed that before. Thanks for posting the literature. That's cool info to have to have. I'm glad you didn't try to follow those directions though. You may have ended up building a boat instead. It would be cool to have a diorama of the entire PAtriot system, but in that scale it'd be huge! I think 1/72 would be much more feasible. Take care! Rob
