I'm getting ready to start on a kitbash of the old Matchbox A-1E Skyraider to represent a mid 60s USAF aircraft in Vietnam. To do so, I need some very specific ordnance. Well, I dug out my 1/48 F-89D/J Scorpion, and after much headscratching and coin flipping, have decided I'd like to convert it to an F-89H. To do this, I need an extra set of the wingtip rocket/fuel tank pods from the "D" model version of the kit. Can anyone out there help me? I am going to go out on a limb and ask if anyone has a set of Hobbycraft 1/72 F-89H wingtip pods that they will trade or even LOAN me. I have a local 3D company that can scan and print out a set, enlarging them to 1/48 scale. The originals would not be harmed at all and would be returned. Thanks, JR

I am looking at building an air racer using an Academy P-38. I've been looking at the Droop Snoot kits since they usually go for less. Are the contours of the Drrop Snoot nose the same as for a standard P-38 with the exception of the bombadier's glazing? In other words, will the stock P-38 nose cap fit on the Droop Snoot nose?
