  1. Any news or updates in the meantime Ken ???
  2. A few more nice images are here: http://www.alriyadh.com/1035723 Deino
  3. Yes ... if You take their latest operational regiment today. They are now grey too: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HM84QRgdcg0/UjkGOmLKHzI/AAAAAAAAGcQ/Zbeg9Q6LIUQ/s1600/J-7D1.jpg Deino
  4. I have two images (already sent to You a minute ago !) and regarding the dirt-issue: I'm almost sure that was quite clean when it tested the WS-10H ... and got all that dirt during the later tests re-fitted with the standard AL-31F. Maybe You need to make the decal Yourself: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/People's_Liberation_Army_Naval_Air_Force#/media/File:Naval_Ensign_of_the_People%27s_Republic_of_China.svg All the best, Deino
  5. Tom, You are correct ... these are standard unmodified D models actually - exactly the same as in the second image with the J-10 behind - from the 9. Division. Yes and No, there are actually still a few original J-8II's flying around and these can be identified on the black tip of their tail and wider black/dark green leading edge of the vertical tail. The later J-8B, D (= B + IFR-probe) are different like You described. Here's a good comparison of a II vs. a recce JZ-8F (now JC-8F) http://photo.blog.sina.com.cn/showpic.html#blogid=609bccb40102v2q3&url=http://album.sina.com.cn/pic/00
  6. To admit after reading the last post - and it seems fine that there at least a few - I need to correct myself and You Tom too. This image is the reason: If You look closely, then my first statement and Yours is not correct. No, the colors are indeed different ... depending how recent the last overhaul and painting was: the J-10A/AS and now B have a slightly darker two-tone color with IMO a bit of blue in the upper-grey. The lower tone is lighter. I'm not 100% sure, but I have that strange feeling that even the JH-7 and JH-7A's grey is a bit lighter than the J-10's top color. The J-8F's
  7. Hi "falcon04" ... to admit that's a good question and not easy to answer especially since I'm no longer a modeler. My only suggestion would be to mix them on Your own by using suitable images - here I can maybe help You - and take the book You mentioned from Tom and me (http://www.harpia-publishing.com/galleries/MCW/index.html) to compare. Just a question to be sure - but here I admit I'm not sure - are the colors given on the painting and marking guide so off ? It is indeed correct, that overall the PLANAF uses a very light grey color, whereas most of the current PLAAF J-7, J-8, J-10 and J
  8. Exactly 2574 words and still no images ! ... still no proof ! Nothing.
  9. To admit I did not have a hard time without Your images, it was simply a lost opportunity for You to sell Your kit .... but hey we all have more than enough kits in our stash and if You don't want to sell, then it's Your problem. The problem in general is simply Your altitude, Yore arrogance and behavior: All I did long, long ago was to ask for better images since the ones on Your page - and to admit even You try to make me look like a fool I'm not stupid or blind - are simply not clear enough and as such I asked kindly for more. I even explained why I like "Zaktoman's way to show much more .
  10. Do You have a link of that review ??? I was very much interested in that kit but following Stephane's refusal to post more detailed images I decided to se away. Anyway a nice X-31 kit is still on my list ... Deino
  11. It's indeed funny, but several of these severe mistakes can either be corrected quite easily or not even included on the Hasegawa kit. Especially the surface details, the latest add-ons which are only on the latest blocks are in no way included in any of Hasegawa's kit. As far as I remember the Hasegawa kit, there is not even a too narrow intake trunk nor a wrong number of fan-blades, LAU-128 missile launcher were also not included (at least in my very old edition), and regarding the way too thick leading edges and other details You mention can easily be corrected with a little effort. I thin
  12. To admit I don' have the GWH kit at hand and build the Hasegawa kit only once some years ago ... but especially after modifying the molds - a decision that simply gives honor to the guys at GWH to listen to their customers - and by simply looking at the details some the Hasegawa kit not even "mentions" I can only say it is indeed no competition, it is simply the GWH kit. That does not denies that it too has still a few issues but to tell that kit "unbuildable" like gala always tries to demonstrate is simply not fair, nor objective ... Deino
  13. Oh no ! Not again ... by the way you missed to add your long list of faults like a missing pilot, which makes that kit nearly unbuildable ! :P Sorry to say so, but You really sound like a Hasegawa-salesman and not even a fair one. Not that I want to dismiss the Hasegawa kit but Your arguments re in most cases lame especially while You ignore he weak-points of Your beloved Hasegawa-kit ... Anyway, Deino
  14. I thinbk - if You look at the third page in the construction plan - You need to cut out the inner part of these but the parts are molded separately ... and these strange hold-back "things" are these countless thin plates to be put together ! Again I think in the plan they are shown. Deino
  15. Here too: http://www.moxing.net/bbs/thread-47373-1-1.html Deino
  16. No need to say sorry ! ... here is a new review: http://www.moxing.net/bbs/thread-47268-1-1.html ... and if I'm not completely wrong, it contains the outer wing part optionally down and up as well as the inner part of the wing with the flaps and slats as separate parts ... and also the tails two times folded and unfolded ! IMO looks good, ... but what do You think ? Deino
  17. Here is a look into the box ! http://www.moxing.net/bbs/thread-47268-1-1.html Deino
  18. Agreed again ... but simply an Image would tell more than thousand words !
  19. I surely give him a chance, but honestly all we get even after kind requests for more information or simply reminds to this and that from other experienced members are either offensive replies as if we are competitors or silence. The chance would be to argue, to show how he solved the mentioned problem simply by showing a final product ... and not by telling the other one a competitor. Just remember the items from Wingmen and I know the CAD-designer in person quite well and the CAD-design is brilliant ... the final product had at first some severe flaws and this was shown and even responded
  20. Dear Stephane, please don't get me wrong and this is surely not meant as an offence but honestly I need to admit I don't understand Your altitude, Your behavior and the way You response here. EDIT! By the way; I'm only a modeling enthusiast ... not an opponent or competitor, I do not want to tear You or Your products into the mud but I want to see what I would get for my money especially if it does not come cheap ... Therefore show us Your bulldozer in action but no long replies in offence, show us simply Your products. All the best for Your product line, Deino
  21. Nice ... but similar to the request in Your other tread ! We want images of the real deal ... no CGs ! That's not meant as an offence but simply a fact. Before I pay I would like to see what I get. Deino
  22. Really !?? Maybe I misinterpret these parts but the parts on the bottom of this images are these inner flap sections. ?!? Or am I wrong ? http://new2.trumpeter-china.com/Uploads/201501/54b08aaf5bc46.jpg Deino
  23. Just found at the Trumpeter-FB-page: wub
