  1. I know most ppl would like to get 1/48 for the sake of details and it's presentable isn't it.. But I for one would just content to see others building 1/48 and 1/32 and myself buying and building 1/72. I just can't resist owning more than 1 kit of one subject that I like. It would be killing to own multiple kits in 1/48 kits.. let alone completing and displaying them.. 1/72 probably sell more (in qty) than other scales, not too expensive.. satisfy my needs (I'm a decal whore), I don't really feel that bad with all the earlier models that I already owned even if another company decides to bu
  2. Hi Eagledriver, as per the description "bondite" is a brand of epoxy putty from Malaysia. It's something akin to Shelley's "Knead-it". It's easy to use and can be smoothen with water before curing.
  3. Hi Honza, another fantastic build on the way.. every one of your build clearly shows improvement over one another.. The new ones always just get better and better.. Well.. about the pic about.. you mentioned the "dirt from boots" are made with sharp brush and oil paint.. I really admire the outcome.. Just curious.. how you actually fashioned those patterns? Random?? And.. is it a very "high effort" task to do? e.g. compare to re-scribing panel line.. is this taking lesser time to do?

Hi.. nice work there.. I like the way you get all the parts glued together especially on the forward fuselage section where most had been swearing for Kinetics's poorly engineered kit.. By the way, did you happened to remove those locating pins/tubs on the fuselage piece because they weren't fix?? And the paint job is lovely.. ;)
  6. ;) I couldn't believe what my eyes are seeing... Fantastic miniature detailings.. Just curious since you didn't mention, does the canopy frame has a "moveable" hinge? From picture, it looks moveable.. and that is marvelous..
  7. Agree with the rest.. those painting and panels line were marvelous.. If I'm not wrong.. you did all the rivets as well right? Fantastic.. and it's a 1/72..
  8. Guy, I'm glad you asked. That post was a trick post you see. I didn't exactly specify what I did I just realised that many didn't bother to comment what the poster has shown what they'd experiment with earlier. The gold tint film is just ordinary car tinting film, similar to house window tint film, it's just for comparison as the canopy alone it's very hard to show its true effect via computer screen if you would agree. It was never used because I've tried to heat it, it never conform to any shape except flat surface. I use this instead. Kosutte-gin san I posted what I found out beca
  9. Guys.. I know no matter who claims to be able to do replicate any gold tinting to be exactly 100.00000% resemblance to the actual canopy without any pics is a sin and equals = BS . I've tried some in the past, well.. they may have the similar effect on screen (the color and hue) but never what I wanted, i.e. the metallic gold reflection. So, no matter how I tried, even with metallic gold (even of the finest powder/grain, honestly I have only tried a few), they only "appear" gold-like with those tiny particles embedded inside when my zoomed in. Not exactly the effect I wanted, they just mim
  10. Hi guys.. sorry to dig up this post but I supposed a more solid method to prepare a Gold tinted canopy has not been developed yet, am I correct? There's been method suggested for tinting with fabric dye, food dye+future, pearl powder+smoke/clear yellow.. Just curious has anyone had pic of any of the methods above.. I would like to contribute some, but definitely can't afford all combinations. Appreciate if you guys have pic to share.. Thanks.. ;)
  11. Hi giovanni, Your 1/144 hornet is truly inspiring.. I've seen your earlier update on the windscreen and I was guessing if you actually thin/sand it down as I just got mine 144 last week and it was awfully thick. And you did it miraculously without breaking it :) So.. did you just sand down the outer side of the windscreen+canopy or both inside and outside? And.. curiously.. just holding it with fingers without any jigs? I tried a holding 1/ 144 canopy just for rescribing and my finger got cramped after 10mins
  12. wow.. that's a very clean and detail riveting job on the f-4e.. esp on the fuselage and the wing.. well done man..
  13. excellent theme for an f-16. and the paint job to replicate the subject is phenomenal... well done
  14. Been seeing many SEA schemes, and this one doesn't seem to get bored and is among few of the best'ly painted and weathered one, and your F-4E SEA rocks as well By the way, just curious, did you follow the paint instructions in the Monogram kit or the Mr.color (gsi creos) for the Hasegawa F-4e or you actually fine-tuned your own mix, coz like I said, your scheme does stands out louder than most SEA I've seen earlier
