Beautiful work. Very striking aircraft in a the best pose for display.

Any chance of exchanging the earlier version for the new one lol?
-
It can't be just a TSU replacement for the Whiskeys alone. The shape and profile of the nose itself changed with the introduction of the NTS system so using an Italeri AH-1W with a NTS TSU would still be incorrect and look awkward.

No the C-Nite system on the AH-1F. We flew them in Korea in 1992. It wouldn't take much to do the Marine TSU as long as the nose was properly shaped

Understood. I knew about the C-NITE but thought you were saying both AH-1Fs and AH-1Ws used it. Since the C-NITE was limited in its deployment and if Jonathan can get some made, any chance you can illuminate the units or aircraft that had them for markings?

If you could do a C-Nite TSU that would be helpful to me. Later Whiskeys used it as well as some AH-1F.

Floyd are you referring to the NTS upgrade that the Whiskey's received in the late 90's and which changed the nose profile?

I ordered 4 sets. More Cobra parts the better!

More interested in what that box is below the canopy on the side of the fuselage on the AH-1F photo. Don’t think I’ve ever see it before.

This is freaking awesome! I absolutely love how you’ve repurposed the older resin cockpit tubs. Now I don’t feel the need to offload any of mine and may want to get some more since they cost less!

That VMFA-531 Bug with the multi-color paint looks really interesting Dave. It is nice to see some options that are closer in years to now as it feels like most decals are of aircraft 20-30 years ago.

Noice! I have that kit and have always wanted to get it started.

This turned out to be gorgeous. I really, really, like how the Tomcat (Skystriker) looks in that grey you painted it in. Fantastic job!

Holy cow this is awesome! I want this in my classroom!

Don’t see a classic subject like this very much anymore. Great job!

While I cannot sit here and say I would not like some new Phantom decal sheets because I will certainly buy them, I would like to ask that several decal sets which have been in the cue for a long time be completed first. Ones that come to mind would be like the following:
CD 48095: F-4E Phantoms over Anatolia
CD 48114: A-37 Dragonfly / T-37 Tweet
CD 48129: UH-1 "Huey" in Vietnam
CD 48159: Air National Guard F-84F
CD 48188: Air National Guard P-47
CD 48195: PACAF F-16C/D Vipers
CD 48220: B-57 Canberra in Vietnam
CD 48222: OV-10D Bronco
CD 48224: S-3A Viking

That’s a cool scheme. And different too. Reminds me of X-Wings out of the Rogue Squadron comic series.

Will definitely be taking a seat, grabbing some popcorn, and keeping my notepad handy as I have plans to do the same later this year.

You can't argue with these people.
These people? Care to clarify exactly what you mean by that?
My post about the pictures being clearly misleading is due to the fact that the individual making the comparisons intentionally made it look like the Academy kit is extremely off the mark and not right at all. That was part of the discussion noted by others within the linked posts on the ARC Facebook page that were removed.

Yes, 2014 timeframe is what I could find.
Thanks but OIF was terminated in 2011. I can’t remember 100% if I saw Apaches in 08 with them while on my last deployment to Baghdad, but I want to say they did.
-
These were being added to Apaches during OIF weren’t they?

You've done a very good job on this. I never really liked the look of the N-1 after its introduction in the prequels but after Mando (and you) got his hands on one my opinion has changed.

those posts were removed as we all can see that they are clearly misleading. Taking the same position as Dave Roof, I’m about ready to not buy this kit at all because of the crap being posted by this person.

Just finished reading Warthog: Flying the A-10 in the Gulf War by William Smallwood for about the third time, and with all this hoopla regarding a new kit, I’m going to get one for sure.

I like the box art.
